“Good value, easy walk to main street.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 July 2011

This BnB is within very close walking distance to the main street. It was very clean, and the beds were comfortable. We didn’t have a lot of contact with the owner. The breakfast chef was unfriendly, and gave one word answers to our attempts at conversation. However, that didn’t put us off, at least we tried! We consider this BnB to be excellent value, especially for a party of 3 adults travelling together. It is an exceptionally beautiful part of the world! We would stay there again, it suited our requirements.

“Beautiful, Value for Money B&B”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 15 January 2011

A beautiful B&B. Ideally located and run by superwoman Lin, who also runs the Mat Hatter tea house down the road. The room was clean and I was very comfortable and warm - perfect for a cold winter's night!

“Best Advice Ever Received By Local Tourist Info Bureau”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 August 2010

After ten rainy days in Wales, the Cottswold region looked drier. Perhaps It wasn't surprising we found ourselves at the local information center inquiring about a 3-night stay to wrap up a two-week, unstructured trip to Wales and England. Trevone was finally recommended based upon price and not wanting to move after two days! Despite info bureau directions, it was a bit hard to find because Trevone doesn't really advertise itself as a bed and breakfast from the roadside! It was directly across the street from the local police station and only a simple household sign on the gate similar to other homes in England told visitors, this was the place! Linn, the owner, was away at her other business (an excellent tea shop) but she left us a note and the key. We made ourselves at home. The room was spacious and the bed VERY COMFORTABLE. While Trevone advertised free Wi-Fi, we never managed to get it to operate on our lap top. That was fine as we didn't want to spend vacation time surfing the net! The room also had complimentary tea/coffee/hot chocolate and a small cable TV. The view from the second story back window looked over a typical English garden and the hourly chimes of the town clock was a nice reminder of a simpler time. Those unaccustomed to grandfather clocks in the home may have trouble sleeping as the clock chimes on the customary quarter hour.

Linn's partner Jonathan serves up a full English breakfast. One or the other will take breakfast orders the night previous. Our host and hostess were gracious to prepare us a boxed breakfast on our last night as we had to leave very early for a morning flight out of Heathrow (90 minute drive...watch out for the rabbits!)

For the value, Trevone was an excellent place to headquarter for your Cottswold visit.

“Excellent location”

My husband I have just returned from a 5 day stay with Lynn at Trevone. The location could not be better. The lovely Cotswold stone house has 3 bedrooms which are superbly fitted out.The breakfasts were more than enough for my husband and friends who joined us for this break away. There is parking for 3 cars along side the property and a bus stop almost opposite for those who prefer to use public transport.Although Lynn also runs the Mad Hatter in the village she is usually available if needed. This is a home from home place to stay and we will certainly return.
