I have just returned from a 2 night stay at The Avondale, Seaford. I can certainly recommend this family run guest house. Our rooms were spotless (our party had 4 rooms) Lovely big fluffy towels, plenty of complimentary tea, coffee and bathroom products. Comfy and clean bedding with brilliant pillows (dodgy ones can spoil a whole trip!!) Exceptional value for money and choice of rooms for all parties or occasions. Customer service above and beyond anything I have experienced in recent years, a great balance between friendly personal service and no intrusion.

Stayed 2 nights with family taking 3 rooms for a wedding. Owners (Jane) made us very welcome and helped make day special - taking some excellent photos of us all dressed up and presenting us with the photos at breakfast the next day. Rooms good and beds very comfortable. Breakfast excellent - all locally sourced food so fresh, tasty and beautifully prepared. Nothing too much trouble for staff who created right balance between formal and friendly.

Our room was very well presented,clean and very well provided with a selection of hot drinks and toiletries. The breakfast was 1st class with a good selection and good portions.We have nothing but praise for this facility.The owners are very friendly and helpful.

My partner and I have stayed here a few times when in the area visiting family. Jane and Martin have always been very welcoming and very happy to suggest good restaurants and day trips around the local area.

The rooms are very comfortable and breakfast is always very yummy - top tip, the poached eggs and bacon always go down very well!

If you're after friendly service, excellent food and a good base for a weekend of exploring in the local area, look no further!
