My mother and I were very well looked after and Louise couldn't have done more to make us welcome. The rooms were comfortable and well appointed and our every needs were anticipated and provided for. I would thoroughly recommend The Silverdale and look forward to visiting again.

We had a very pleasant stay here recently. Room was very nice with a great selection of biscuits and well stocked mini bar. Bathroom was huge with nice complimentary soaps etc. Our room also had a conservatory which was quite a cool and fun place to sit in and chill out. Breakfast was superb with particularly impressive mushrooms. Hosts were pleasant and helpful. Location was spot on with easy access to the town or beach. Although we aren't dog people, the fact that it was a dog friendly place didn't bother us, the room, bed etc was very clean with no major smell of dogs anywhere really.

We stayed at the Silverdale for one night in January 2012. We booked the Cuckmere Haven room as we had our small dog with us.
The reviews of this property do not exaggerate. It's lovely and is particularly good for those travelling with a dog. The room was immaculate, very well decorated and of a far higher standard than you could expect of a B&B. The dog treats and other dog accessories were a lovely touch.
Toiletries were provided, plenty of clean towels, flat-screen TV, lots of tea, coffee and biscuits and a well stocked mini-bar to boot. Breakfast was fabulous.
Although the property is on a busy main road, we didn't hear any traffic noise and easily found free parking, literally just around the corner.
Very nice place, close to the town, beach and country walks.
Highly recommended.

My second stay at the Silverdale and yet again a very enjoyable time, Louise and Norman are excellent hosts, the room was very clean and furnished to a high standard, will gladly come back again :-)
