Diane and Tony were excellent hosts, and could not do enough to accommodate us. Their home is immaculate, and breakfasts were outstanding--especially the homemade bread and jams, and fresh fruit.

We stayed at Oaklands for weekend while we were exploring the area. We both had a very enjoyable and pleasant break, the staff - Tony and Diane did a wonderful job in making our visit as comfortable as possible. The room was lovely, and breakfast was fantastic - complete with homemade jams and fresh from the oven pastries. I wouldnt hesitate to recommend Oaklands to my friends.
Have just returned from a 2 night stay at 'Oaklands' just outside Rye. We travelled with 2 sets of friends so took over the whole B&B. We were welcomed with a smile by the lovely Diane and Tony who looked after u very well during our stay. The rooms were all of a very high standard and the breakfasts were superb. There was a good choice and the hot cooked breakfast with home made bread and jam or marmalade went down very well. There were juices, tea, coffee, in fact all that you would want. Nothing seemed too much trouble. We ate at a very good pub just along the road, The Plough. The food was fresh, tasty and reasonable. You will need to drive as there is no footpath along that stretch of road. It was a few minutes by car. There are various eateries in Rye but, once again, it would probably be best to drive as it would take about 25 minutes to walk. Fine if, like us, the weather is good. Really cannot fault this lovely place or our hosts. would most definitely recommend it if you are in the area.
We recenty spent a night at Oaklands with Diane and Tony and wish we could of stayed longer. Oaklands is a beautiful house set in the most idyllic landscape with views to "die for". Our room, the Tillingham, had dual aspects and it was so lovely and tranquil to wake up to see the sun rising over the fields. Our room was a good size and beautifully appointed with a lovely ensuite with all the amenities. There were quite a few choices for breakfast and this was served in a beautifully furnished dining room. Having onsite parking was a big bonus as parking in Rye can be quite difficult and expensive.
Diane and Tony are terrific hosts and made us feel very welcome. We really enjoyed meeting them. We just loved our overnight stay at Oaklands and would certainly recommend it. You will not be disappointed with this 5 star accomodation!
We stayed two nights with Tony and Diane for a weekend away and couldn't have asked for a friendlier, cleaner and more comfortable stay. Breakfast was to die for - especially Tony's porridge! Both were so friendly and helpful too.
