“Beautiful Guest House”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 28 November 2011

We have just spent the weekend at the Willow Tree Guest House, it is tastefully decorated
spotlessley clean the bedrooms are lovely and cosy, the added extra's in the room and shower room are very nice quite shabby chic elegance, white linen bedding and white fluffy towels in the en suite shower what more could you ask for.

Simon and Wendy make you feel very welcome lovely couple and the breakfast is superb I would very highly reccomend this guest house, it is very central just a few minutes walk in to Rye high street quite a selection of shops and restaurants and we will certainly be going back there.

“Classy and Comfortable”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 10 November 2011

I spent 3 nights at Willow Tree House, and I was delighted with the facilities and the hospitality. Simon was absolutely wonderful and provided lots of local information and advice. He and Windy were friendly and helpful even early in the morning, and they cooked some delicious breakfasts. I loved the breakfast potatoes. My room was beautifully decorated, not fussy and cluttered, but with many tasteful touches. The bed was great, with lovely linens. And the parking was priceless, as it meant I didn't have to drive on those tiny cobblestoned streets. Willow Tree was the perfect location - just a short 10 minute walk to the center. I would stay here again if I ever return to Rye.

“Triple Crown B & B”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 6 November 2011

The Willow Tree House excels in all the three categories that make a B&B. First, our room was beautifully furnished, right down to the accessories on the dresser, desk and in the bathroom... elegance without fuss or clutter. The house is lovingly decorated and maintained. Second, the breakfast was the best of our UK/France vacation. Smoked salmon and hash browns cooked with a little horseradish--heaven! And third and most importantly, Wendy and Simon are wonderful. They are as warm and funny as they are helpful. The restaurants they suggested were some of the best of our travels. When train service was disrupted, they helped arrange for us get to Ashford and make our chunnel connection and in doing so, kindly served us breakfast much earlier than the regular schedule. Rye is a fantastic place to visit and part of that is because of the Willow Tree House.

“Excellent bed & breakfast in Rye”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 28 October 2011

We stayed at Willow Tree House last night. The owners made us very welcome, breakfast was excellent, our room was much nicer than many hotels I've stayed in. Very convenient for Rye town centre. Highly recommended.

“Great b & b”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 21 October 2011

We stayed at Willow Tree House for 7 nights in early September. The house itself is beautiful and in a great location just 5 to 10 minutes walk from Rye town centre. Our room (Fairlight) was a good size and very tastefully decorated. There were lovely bathroom toiletries and it was great to get a couple of complimentary bottles of mineral water each day.

Simon and Wendy were excellent hosts, very friendly and willing to go out of their way to help (Wendy offered to drive us into town one evening when it was very windy and raining heavily). They gave us some great recommendations for evening meals, and we particularly enjoyed Simply Italian, The Standard (for pub grub), and The Hope Anchor (fantastic value set meal with wine, liqueur and coffee).

The breakfasts were delicious, with a great selection of fresh fruit, as well as a choice of cooked. Wendy is in charge of the kitchen whilst Simon entertains the guests, in between bringing out coffees and (sheets of!) toast.

Rye itself is a beautiful town, with cobbled streets and some really old buildings. It is well located for visiting various attractions in the area, plus the train station makes a nice change from having to drive. We visited Canterbury, Leeds Castle, Dover Castle and The Seven Sisters cliffs.

Overall, we had a fabulous week at Willow Tree House and would certainly recommend it.
