I booked a two nights stay on the web via Innkeepers Lodge Web site. Our first night's stay was not good at all due to the room we stayed in. We had no window and no ventilation in the room. Other aspects of the room were very good. Good Bed good shower towels etc. Adequate continental breakfast for all of us and good environment to eat in. No vegetarian option for evening meals so of course we went into Brighton which has plenty. After our first nights experience I complained and then ask for another room. The owner said that the room was ok in the winter months but seem to accept my reason for not wanting to stay in the room where there was a sever lack of air at night.
We then had another room which was absolutely fine. I was amazed how two rooms could differ when paying the same price. One of the reasons I am writing this review is that I then complained directly via web site on Monday morning they were excellent in taking action. I had a rep call me Tues to acknowledge my complaint, he told me he had visited the room in question and said that he was pleased that I had made the company aware of the situation. He guaranteed that the room would not be used until it was deemed suitable for guests. He then gave me a full refund of my whole stay. I requested one nights refund. I was very impressed by this swift action and that not every one is out to rip you off as suggested by recent research carried out this week on family holidays in Britain. I would stay at these lodges again, in the hope that this experience would not be repeated.
