“Superb!!!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 31 January 2012

My husband & I stayed here last weekend & it was fab! Such a warm & cosy feel to the guest house! We stayed in room 5 & we have nothing to complain about! The bed was super comfy, crisp white linen, clean en suite shower.
The guest house is situated in a perfect spot too..the Wheel is literally at the end of the road and just a short stroll to the Lanes...perfect!
Breakfast was scrummy and in a stylish room too.
We were made to feel welcome and at home and they were both on hand to offer advice or just chat!
Will definitely be returning (soon I hope!) and can't see us staying anywhere else now!
Fantastic!!!
Kieran & Chris....please don't go anywhere!

Room Tip: We stayed in room 5 which was lovely....I now want to go back & stay in other rooms!!!

“Best Accommodation in Brighton!!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 January 2012

I’m a big fan of Brighton and i go all most every year and stay for the odd few nights either with family, friends or my boyfriend.
I have stayed in many accommodations over the years, from hotels, B&B’s and guest houses but have never really found the ‘Perfect one’ .

A couple of weeks back me and my boyfriend decided we was going to have a day or two away for our 3 yr anniversary, I wanted to go somewhere different where I haven’t stayed before, so I started to search the net. I came across the Griffin Guest House and liked what I saw, I read the reviews on here and it made we mind up to go.

We arrived at the Griffin Guest house on the 28/1/12 for two nights. On arrival me and my bf was greeted by one of the members of staff, who was very very helpful & friendly. We was told where everything was and given the keys to our room.

We was in room number 9, which was right at the top of the guesthouse, when first stepping into our room, I was very pleased with our room, it was very modern, clean and tidy. It was well furnished with a large double (comfortable bed) a mini fridge, a small wardrobe, 2 small leather chairs and even a mini ironing board and iron and not forgetting a hairdryer.
Breakfast was served daily and there was a wide range of choice that was all very well presented. The breakfast/bar area was very comfortable and welcoming.
On the first floor there was a conservatory which once again was very comfortable, warm and welcoming and offered tea, coffee, fruit and biscuits.

The location of the guest house is perfect walking distance to the beach/sea front and St James street which provides some good restaurants.

All in all like mentioned before this has to be one of the best accommodations I have ever stayed in whilst visiting Brighton.
Me & my bf had a lovely 2 day break and the Griffin Guest House made it even better! We shall defiantly be returning back again very soon.
101% recommended to anyone that is looking for somewhere to stay in Brighton! :)

Room Tip: Room 9 is right at the top of the guest house and out the way! The only little down side is at night...

“Welcoming, comfortable and stylish”

Stayed over the weekend at the beginning of December and had a really lovely experience. The hosts are just as friendly and welcoming as all the other reviews say: we were given mince pies and mulled wine on arrival, as well as some good advice on where to see in Brighton. The location is really just perfect, down a quiet street within sight of the sea.

Room 6 (with the large walk-in shower) was clean, comfortable and beautifully designed. It faces onto the street, and there is a bar on the corner. There was a little noise on the Saturday night, but nothing to bother us or keep us awake. The breakfasts were tasty, with well-thought through vegetarian options.

The owners really excel at the little details: for example, they provide ear plugs in the communal balcony area for very light sleepers, along with tea and coffee.

Room Tip: Rooms facing the street can be a little noisy - fine for normal sleepers, might be a bit much for li...

Great guest house with character, many personal touches, a lovely chill out conservatory, and an arty breakfast room.
We stayed in room 4, with a 4 poster super comfortable bed, crisp white linen, large bay windows, and a bath in the bedroom....just brilliant. Had the wow factor as soon as we walked in.
Kieran and Chris were very hospitable and friendly hosts, making our stay very pleasant.
We would choose this guest house again without any hesitation.
Thank you for a lovely stay.

Room Tip: Rm 4 has large bay windows, a light airy feel.
