“Lovely and very friendly little guesthouse”

I stayed for one month in Brighton and visited a language school (EC Brighton) to improve my english skills. School was just 2 minutes away from the guest house, which was ideal for me. The guest house is very central and just a few minutes away from Brighton pier. My first impression was very good and was happy and liked it from the very first moment! I had a nice and warm welcome and the room was clean, cosy and very sweet with the light blue walls.

I booked a Superior Double En Suite room with a big bed and enough space for my luggage etc. The bed- and bathroom had been cleaned every day (during my entire stay) and they changed the sheets every week. I had my own hairdryer and free Wi-Fi connection. It has been two times that the connection wasn't working. But that was not a problem at all, because Scott and Helen (the owners) were there and took immediately care of it.

There is no breakfast-buffet available but a basket with some fresh fruit, cereal-bar and some cookies. I like a real breakfast, so I had to buy my food in the supermarket or a restaurant. But if you don't need a "big breakfast" you will be fine.

I definitely recommend this guest house and when I'd come back to Brighton I would like to stay there again.

“Fitted the Bill”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 June 2011

Spent four nights over the bank holiday at Aquarium with a friend. Was ideal base to explore Brighton. Comfortable, clean, (white bed linen, spotless modern ensuite shower room), spacious and within easy walking distance of everything we wanted.

We had a top floor room overlooking the street,(with the bonus of a side view of the sea) and other than the weekly beer delivery to the pub across the way at 7am Monday morning and refuse collectors on Saturday morning, there was little external noise or disturbance. The guest house itself, despite being full was extremely quiet.

Breakfast was as described elsewhere, but was more than enough, I usually only have coffee so suited me perfectly. The price for such a good place on a bank holiday was excellent.

I would definitely return here and have already told friends about it.

“nice spot metres from the sea”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 14 March 2011

the aquarium is a good b&b, in a good spot, with really clean rooms, decent breakfasts and helpful staff. it does lack a certain wow factor, everything feels nice about the overall experience was good. the only thing that stopped me rating this very good was i didnt feel there was any aspect that stood out, that said there was nothing to complain about either.

“First time in Brighton”

For our first stay in Brighton we couldn't have chosen a better place to stay. We spent 2 nights in a lovely big room at the front of the guest house. The room was spotlessly clean' very nicely laid out and decorated, with also a small round table & 2 chairs placed the window, which was lovely to be able to watch the world go by whist drinking the tea/coffee & eating cereal bars all provided. The owner was very pleasent, polite & helpful, all in all it was a really lovely weekend & we would definately stay again when next in Brighton.
