My husband and I stayed for 2 nights in the Manhattan Penthouse Suite but were a little disappointed in the portrayal of the "theme" as we had dismissed other themed hotels in the area in favour of this one due to its good reviews. A couple of posters stuck on the wall and a small plaster replica of the Empire State Building were the only concessions to the New York Loft Style. The room was very hot (in the winter) and the first thing we had to do was turn off the heating and open the windows, the standing fan was very dusty, there were marks on the sheets (looked like black grease from a machine), the bath panel didn't fit properly. On arrival we had to request the tissue box be filled and a badly flickering tube to be changed in the bathroom. The bed felt small, as we're used to a super king sized one, but it was reasonably comfortable and the pillows neither too hard nor too soft. In reality, this was just a largish room and nowhere near the size of a usual hotel suite. The breakfast was good and the reception staff pleasant and friendly. The hotel is well situated for the Lanes and Kemp Town and if you are visiting Bristol Gardens it is about a 15 minute stroll.
