Stayed in the double room. Cozy but adequate. Kitchen was crowded so we didn't use it. Overall good value.

I was at Baggies for one night, the best hostel I have ever been to. There wasn't enough room to swing a cat in the dorm and even at 5'2" I had trouble fitting in one of the loos but who cares?! The atmosphere was calm, relaxed and friendly and I was made to feel so welcome and at home that I was sad to leave. I'll definately return.

I'm a travel writer and have been to many, many hostels around the world, and Baggies gets everything right, huge beautiful common rooms, a lovely Regency house, friendly laid back staff and great kitchen facilities. On a global scale it's tough to beat, and now that I live in Brighton I would always recommend my friends and family to stay at Baggies.

Good fortune directed me to Baggies during my first visit to Brighton in 2001 during which I discovered the wonders of this Friendly, comfortable, affordable, well located, home-like hostel full of wonderful people. I returned the following summer to discover friends I'd met there the previous year, who were now residing elsewhere in Brighton, still visiting and hanging out at Baggies as if gravitating to bask in the comfort of home and family. Val, Gem, and their wonderful staff offer warm, down-home hospitality in a friendly, family-like environment. Though I have not been back for a few years I always feel a part of the baggies family experience and l am looking forward to returning for a visit in a few weeks. G
