“Feel like home!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 1 November 2011

"Feel like home", that's the first thing the host told us, to my girl friend and I, when we arrived in baggies late in the evening. We spent a wonderful week there, met a lot of charming people from all around the world. We were staying in the double room which was clean and tidy when we came up. The common kitchen was very convenient, besides it was very nice to cook with the other "bagpackers"... So if you're looking for an accomodation, don't hesitate a second, do call Baggies!

“Best hostel ever!!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 8 September 2011

I stayed at Baggies while i was looking for a flat in brighton before uni and i didn't want to leave, i had a great time, made wonderful people, and i feel privileged to have had this experience. I didn't want to stay in a hostel but didn't have a choice and I am glad things turned out that way. I had a great time and even though i've moved out to a flat, i know this place exists if anything goes wrong.

“Cheap, quite dirty communal area, very rude staff”

Stayed for 1 night, reception area was untidy and seemed to be used for an extra room during the night, found people laying on the sofas and using the area as a changing room in the morning. Basins were dirty in the room so obviously wasnt cleaned very well. Upon check out the lady running the place shouted at us for not bringing down our bedding to reception???? Will definitely not recommend unless you don't mind being treated badly.

“No Goodbyes...Just See You Laters”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 9 September 2010

I was studying in London for the Fall Semester, and was told to travel to Brighton. Since we are poor college students hostel was obviosuly our best option. Little did we know how great of a hostel Baggies would be. As soon as we arrived, we were happily greeted and showed to our beds. We were in the largest room, but it made it that more interesting. Many people at Baggies actually live there, until they move on to their next adventure. Being in the large room, we were able to meet many people from all walks of life. The first evening they had a going away party for someone who lived there for many months, and despite being "guests" we were invited to the going away party and helped cooked dinner with the "regulars". Also, since we were silly Americans and knew nothing of the culture, one of the girls who worked there befriended us and took us under her wing and she showed us a great time. In conclusion go to Baggies for a great and economical value!
