We booked this after spending a night in the Bournemouth Premier Inn, thinking it may be of the same standard. We were wrong!
Location - was good. On a main shopping street, just cross the road and head into the lanes. There is a car park at the back of the hotel, but it is not attached and you cannot gain direct access into the hotel, like Bournemouth.
Check in - was friendly and efficient. Enough staff on duty to not have to wait around more than a couple of minutes.
The room - was the worst part of the stay. Tired and dated, freezing cold, small double bed, noisy flush from the toilet and the shower went freezing, causing me to have to jump out sharpish and wait for it to heat back up again.
The corridor to our room was also cold, we felt a big difference from the strip of corridor prior to our bit through the fire doors. Despite turning the room stat up, it was just cold air coming through. We ended up requesting extra blankets and were given duvets.
Food - was fine. We did the meal deal and had dinner as well as breakfast. Being able to order eggs was a nice touch for a budget hotel.
Staff - were very friendly, in a genuine way. Probably the best part of the stay.
We informed reception of our room being freezing cold, but no mention of the sleep guarrentee was discussed with us. Overall, I'm left feeling negative about our experience and I would not stay here again. Nor would I reccomend it to friends. I think the manager should spend a few nights at the Bournemouth hotel, to see how it can be done.
