“Good accommodation and staff”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 27 January 2012

Booked this hotel as we were attending a family party nearby. In total we had 5 rooms and every one was very comfortable. We had grandchildren aged 5, 8, 10 and 12 and they were all made to feel very welcome even in the dining room which isn't that big. The breakfast was very good with a large choice and staff enabled us to all sit near to each other at the children's request. Yes parking is very tight at this hotel and when we arrived on the Saturday we took the last available place. Fortunately my son managed to park next to us by blocking us in which the hotel said was ok. On the Sunday parking wasn't as bad but the entrance is very narrow and you need to check before actually driving to the car park. We hope to return in the near future.

Room Tip: Rooms at the front have a lovely sea view but there is some traffic noise.

“Comfortable and modern fatastic views”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 25 January 2012

Spent 3 nights here whilst my flat was being replastered. Not many hotels in Brighton offer parking so this became my first choice. When I booked I was told parking was limited on a first come first served basis but I had no trouble finding a space even when arriving back late. There is ample parking front and rear.
The room was warm and modern with fantastic sea views. The four poster bed was very comfortable indeed, lots of cushons and a lovely thick matress. Free WIFI with an excellent connection meant I could catch up on my emails in comfort with one eye on the news on the room's flatscreen TV.
Breakfast was great, selection of continental and a full English. Staff polite and helpful.
The icing on the cake for me was a superb home made burger and chips which I had for evening meal. Quite honestly the burgers are the best I've ever tasted. In fact I've been back since several times just for burger and chips.

Room Tip: Make sure you order a homemade burger from the restaurant. Without doubt the best in Brighton!

“Excellent hotel and location”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 23 January 2012

Only stayed for one night whilst visiting Brighton and Hove. Hotel situated more Hove than Brighton but only a very enjoyable 45 minute walk along the prom to Brighton Pier. Parking at this hotel could be a problem, the car park is situated at the back of the hotel access is along a narrow side road. Spaces are limited. We were lucky someone was coming out as we arrived. However parking in the main road is metered but free from 6pm till whenever the next day.
Booking in was smooth, i had pre-booked on-line, not much in a way of greeting but sufficient and courteus. Our room was a sea facing one. Nice large lift took us up to our room. The hotel is very clean, smart and modern. Our room was excellent. Marvelous view of the sea and prom. Bed was very comfortable, all the usual mod and cons. No room safe. UK hotels dont seem often to have them for some reason. Plenty of coffee, tea, chocolate for making drinks.
We had booked breakfast as well. This again was excellent very good choice and service.
Checking out was easy and was asked if we enjoyed our stay which we did.
We will stay here again if we visit the area.

Room Tip: Choose a 'sea view' worth the extra

“Excellent value, flexible”

People seem to be expecting some form of 5* palace when paying fairly small money going on other reviews here. I've stayed here a number of times and while its no boutique hotel, it is welcoming, with large clean properly fitted rooms and everything you'd expect in a modern hotel (Freeview TV, wifi, etc). Have had to alter my stay while there (cancel a night due to a moved ferry time), and ended up checking out two hours late another time and was dealt with professionally and without hassle every time.

In addition, the prices, particularly off-season, are incredibly cheap for Brighton. When you take in to account the cost of car parking at the budget chains closer to the city centre it becomes even cheaper. A Saver ticket on the buses is the cost of a quarter of a days parking.

Room Tip: Sea view rooms can be very windy if you open the window, although the other side does overlook the c...

“Free car parking and great stay overall”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 24 December 2011

Stayed here on business for 3 nights. Was an extremely pleasant stay in what really felt like a friendly family run hotel. The room was comfortable and clean and of a good size with an amazing sea view.
Ate in the restaurant for two evenings and the food was excellent.
Would definitely stay again for my next stay in Brighton.
