I stayed here with my other half in early March and found it to be perfect for our four day visit to Brighton. The owners were very friendly and offered great advice on the best places to see and visit around town. Following their advice, I found some of the best vegetarian restaurants I have ever eaten in. I am very fussy about cleanliness, and in Court Craven I found nothing to complain about..the place is spotless.
We are planning a return visit to Brighton in June and will be staying here again, I recommend it to anybody.

We have been robbed and deeply offended by the owner of this guest house. Waiting outside the front door,  a guest arriving back let us in because nobody was answering.  As we walked in we noticed there was no reception desk and as a result had to call the owner.  He told us that because we were late to check in by an hour, he didn't care and demanded that we leave the guest house immediately or he would call the police, shouting expletives over the phone in the process.  Utterly shocking because we had already paid for our first nights stay.  We are now in the process of filing a claim with the small claims court. DO NOT STAY HERE you have been warned!!! There are far friendlier, more flexible guest houses in the area including the Blanche House on the same road who kindly bailed us out very late at the last minute and gave us a discounted rate on a deluxe room.

Me and my partner stayed there for 2 nights just after Bank Holiday weekend and paid £65 per night.

I got information on the hotel from its up-to-date website that clearly stated its a room only place so you pay an affordable price on that leaving you money to spend going out, which you would choose to do anyway. The hotel is run by a gentleman who is very pleasant to talk to over the phone as well as in person.

The hotel is a blink away from the sea (i could actually see it from my window) and just 5mins walk away from the pier. On the other side of the street is Kemp Town which have loads of cafe's, bars and shops and the main shopping and clubbing strip is 10 mins away from there. Only took us 15mins walk from the train station and the directions were crystal clear.

The bedroom was perfect and the images on the website do not do it justice. Everything felt freshly cleaned or brand new. Ensuite bathroom was small but enough for a person to get about in seprately. Flatscreen freeview tv, cupboard space, locked doors, Huge bed. Not a lot of space to run around in but enough for a couple to leave their belongings safely, bathe and sleep.

You are given your own key to come and go as you please during your stay so no worries about getting back at a certain time and the owner even provided us with a map in case we got lost. If you come to Brighton to stay in your hotel and expect alot from it, probably not a good choice to stay in but for someone who needs something affordable, accessable, clean and safe this is perfect. I would gladly go back again.
