There was no reception area, just a shabby dark hallway. There was an awful musty smell as soon as we entered. Our room was dusty and shabby to say the least!!! The over bed lights were broken. There was an old portable TV. shoved high in the corner. The curtains were hanging off and the window sills were damp. The “en-suite” was dark and damp and there was barely any light in there. The toilet seat was hanging off. My son almost scolded his hand when he turned the tap; he thought it was the cold tap because the had cold tap colour on it! Awake a lot of the night due to revellers hanging around outside looking for parties. We had to walk round to the hotel round the corner for breakfast. Can’t believe they still have their British Tourism stars! Unbelievable!!

Booked in for 2 nights left after first as room musty which caused our 2 year old to cough all the time in room.

Me and my friends went down to Brighton for a weekend away for my birthday. We had 2 rooms booked (rooms 6 and 7) which were a good size considering the rooms were for 3 people. The rooms are nicely decorated and very clean and there are some complimentary kit kats with the tea and coffee, which was a nice treat! Breakfast is in their sister hotel which is just round the corner, there is lots of cereal and fruit and you can order anything you like from the menu if you fancy a cooked breakfast (this was perfect to help get rid of the hangover from the night before!).
The location is perfect and the staff were really helpful in recommending some good places to eat - Casalingos round the corner was lovely and the guest house is literally right round the corner from the shopping centre and the bars and clubs. Would definitely recommend staying here if you are planning a trip to Brighton :-)

We had two rooms in the basement. They did not look clean and there was an odour. Location and breakfast were good though.
