We stayed at Drakes recently and had a wonderful time! The staff are lovely and the rooms are fabulous. The bed was so comfortable that I fell asleep in minutes which is very un-usual for me! We ate in the restaurant downstairs and the food was so good, by far one of the best restaurants in Brighton. I was a little put off before we arrived at some of the reviews I saw on here, but we had already booked and thought we would decide for ourselves. I was very pleasantly surprised.

From the moment we arrived to the moment we left nothing was too much trouble for the brilliantly attentive staff. They genuinely care that you have a nice stay. Rooms are fab-standard room not huge but well equipped and bath in the room, nice touch. If you can splash out get one of the big sea view rooms. Would definitely go back.

wow!! what a treat! have just returned from a weekend at this gem of a hotel and must say everything about it was excellent, from the friendly staff to the premium food in the restaurant,we stayed in 301 and the room was so sumptious i didnt want to leave!Drakes has got it so right from the fantastic bathrooms to the exquisite eygptian bedding! we will be returning very soon,thanks again

Over priced, over hyped - just couldn't get passed the BBQ flooring, noise of the main room and 'cheap' extras
