We stayed for one night to celebrate our wedding anniversary. The room was cold and depressing and the heating did not work properly. The corridors were also cold. We thought the rooms were basic and the bathroom was cold. There was a shower gel dispenser and a handwash dispenser fixed to the wall, but no complimentary toiletries. The bar and lounge areas were drab and needed redecoration. We decided that we would not eat in the restaurant, as it did not look inviting, so went out to eat in the evening. We found that the decision to eat out on the previous evening had been the right one as the breakfast was cold. The car park was cramped with tiny spaces and we had difficulty getting our car out in the morning as there was a large pillar behind it, but it had been the only space left when we arrived on the previous day. All in all a complete disaster. we have stayed in many Holiday Inns in the UK and USA and this was the most depressing place we had ever stayed

Thank you for your feedback regarding your visit to the Holiday Inn Brighton – Seafront
All of our rooms are installed with individual heating controls which allow each guest to set their own preference for the temperature of the room, the instructions for this are situated next to the controller however should you have had difficulty then our duty management team are on hand to support should they have been notified.
All of our rooms are furnished as per the Holiday Inn standards which includes black out curtains, a pillow menu to chose your own preference of softness and a non cluttered environment.
With regards to your comments regarding the toiletries within our bedrooms, we do provide amenities such as body shampoo, shower gel and soaps in all our bathrooms however these are offered in larger dispensers rather than the smaller bottles. This is in line with our environmental policy as this reduces waste through the packaging.
For your convenience the hotel has its own secure car park however only limited spaces, we can provide direction to the NCP Regency Square car park if prefer which is only a short walk away, or alternatively there is on street parking around the hotel, although time restrictions do apply.
I am sorry that you felt your stay did not exceed your expectations, and we would like to welcome you back to our hotel to demonstrate that do offer a welcoming Holiday Inn experience
