Do not stay in this dump.
I was fooled by the ok website where the hotel goes under the name "West Beach Hotel"; only when we turned up did we see that it was the "Sprachcaffe" and that it was an expensive youth hostel type place. I had no idea of this place's reputation and wouldnt have bothered.
Forced to sign a form stating that we would pay for any damages upon check-in, I was alarmed to see that someone had taken the batteries from the remote and the bulb from a bedsite lamp. What they hadn't taken however were some upturned nails/pins lying around on the carpet which nearly went into my boyfriend's feet
Breakfast on the first morning was an experience. If you wanted a nice leisurely continental breakfast, you were in for a shock. Two tiny pieces of cheese, four tired slices of tomato, some cheap strawberry yoghurts, cold coffee and stale bread were not terribly appetising. And that was for two of us. Nicely finished off by music on the tv blaring at 600 decibels - at 8.30am no less!! Must be the German version of a wake-up call.
I didn't bother the next day.
Too hot in the rooms, would have been able to see the sea if the windows hadn't been covered in an inch of grime.
Noisy (there is a loud bar underneath), its a busy room (until they all go home at 4am), unprofessional, no customer service.
I should have gone to the Premier Travel Inn and paid less for a clean, comfortable room and surroundings.
