“Generally nice stay....”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 4 November 2011

We stayed here during April 2011 and after staying in the hotel opposite the previous year, were a little hesitant that it would be much different, but were plesantly surprised! Although the room was quite cramped it was great for just somewhere to sleep. The staff were friendly and the breakfast was ok. The room had a very loud fan in the toilet though which would stay on for a while after going in there and this was tight next to the bed causing a bit of a problem at night time. Otherwise its a nice stay!

Room Tip: Street is not too noisy and has a few restraunts and bars towards the one end but no issues.

“Great value, friendly service!”

The staff were very friendly and welcoming and our room was large and very comfortable. As non-tea and coffee drinking people we were very appreciative of the complimetary water and soft drinks in the fridge - and even more pleasantly surprised when these were re-stocked on the second day of our stay. The location is great - close to the sea, Brighton Wheel and all the shops. There are some great bars and pubs close by. Would definitely stay again.

my wife and i stayed here mid october 2011, weather was fantastic, the hotel was very good, room was very large, ideal. the breakfast was top noch. everything was clean and tidy. As i come from brighton and moved away after joining the army, i was amazed how big brighton has got, one thing for sure is When we go back to brighton we shall stay at this hotel again. parking can be a bit of a nightmare unless you purchase tickets from hotel and then you can park in zone c. 24hrs a ticket, well worth it. the owners were friendly, nothing was a problem to them, Hope to return soon, thank you

Room Tip: rooms at the rear are sunny most part of the day, although view is looking onto the rear of st james...

“Christine and Suha”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 15 September 2011

I thought I would teat my friend visiting London from Jordan to a week-end in Brighton, was terribly disappointed with the size of the single room, so tiny I have never stayed in such a small room before, and way to expensive for the size of these rooms, never again,. Mona was lovely and very helpful, breakfast was very good and so was the location. I could hear every single noise from next door even them turning on the light switch, no chair in room, and why do some guests get wine left for them, not me. In will certainly go fopr a bigger hotal next time regardless of cost, Thank God it was only a week-end stay.

Room Tip: Singe rooms are tiny
