I happened upon this guest house and as soon as I saw the pictures online I knew that this was where we HAD to stay! Dan and Mardi are a fantastic couple who run Guest and the city by themselves. We arrived in Brighton just before dinner and Dan was organised with a map of the town and full of recommendations on where to eat and which pubs to visit. With only having stopped for 2 nights this is clearly not long enough to visit all of his "go-sees" so we will be going back and know where we will stay.
The room we stayed in (3) was one of the fab feature rooms with a quirky stain glass window, luxury bedding, our private balcony even had its own moon! The shower worked perfectly, endless supply of hot water and mini toiletries,a mini fridge which even Lady GaGa would of been proud of! A funky feature chair, plenty of tea and coffee for before you leave your room to enjoy Dan's perfectly cooked breakfast. You pre-book the night before what you would like to eat and he delivers! This kept us going until well in to the afternoon and Mardi's coffee helps to save you from the night before!!
Guest and the city's decor is second to none, funky black and white wallpaper in the entrance to bright coloured walls in the breakfast area with even the most funky mugs!
Dan and Mardi's hospitality was amazing,so friendly very bubbly and thanks to their knowledge of Brighton we knew where we were headed once we left for the day to go exploring.
The guest house is extremely clean and tidy and with only 7 rooms its a quiet place to stay. Rooms need to be booked well in advance as its such a poular place to stay.
I want to say to you both thankyou for making us both feel so welcome and making our 1st trip to Brighton a fun experience.

Wow! What a review! Thank you both so much for being lovely and making our job so easy. It was a pleasure having you both stay with us. We hope the journey home wasn't too painful and that your "Click and watch" memories came out well!!! Hopefully we will see you both back in Brighton soon. Don't work too hard! Best wishes, Mardi and Dan.
