Lovely clean, well equipped room (including a cot). Excellent breakfasts cooked to order. Fabulous range of ciders. Good food but again on the expensive side. Friendly staff knew who we were when we checked in. We got a 10% discount for staying 4 days! Fabulous location in centre of Swanage, just minutes from beach. Good parking. This is a very popular community pub and we recommend it.

The room was big and spacious,although a bit dark .You will hear noise but it`s part of a pub so to be expected,the tv in the room is tiny, the shower quality is decent,the room was serviced very well for three days and then it felt like someone must have been in a hurry on the fourth ? the pub itself is nice with a good garden and a fantastic range of ciders and the staff are friendly.The disapointment really was the breakfast ,there is plenty of room for improvement . If you are expecting a cosy b and b/guest house ? then it is not for you,If you were there with your friends, walking holiday/golf etc then it would possibly be ideal,Verdict" It`s a nice eneough place to stay,but quality of food and presentation of the breakfast is the difference between a mark of average and good.

This is a great little pub with quiet clean spacious accomodation set back in a quiet area away from the pub and high st. The landlady, bar and breakfast staff are fantastic hosts and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Booking again for next year.

I really liked this little B&B. The room was spacious and spotlessly clean. The location fantastic. My only recommendation would be to redecorate the breakfast room. It was very utilitarian and resembled a small cafateria from my school days. Otherwise a charming place and it will be where I stay for all of my future trips to Swanage. You can't go wrong with The Red Lion.
