“Great B+B experience”

We stayed at the Castleton in May and really couldn't fault it. Julien and Maggie were really helpful hosts, giving us lots of tips for making the most of our stay and serving delicious breakfasts - an excellent way to start the day. The Castleton is conveniently situated in a reasonably quiet area but still within a short walk of the town centre. Plus, the Crows Nest Inn opposite the hotel does really good food.

“My home in Swanage”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 November 2011

Having part of my family living in Swanage, I customarily spend a couple of weeks there each year and my consistent choice is The Castleton. Its cleanliness is paramount, rooms are comfortable and cozy, breakfast is tasty and plentiful, and Julian and Maggie are great hosts without being intrusive. You can't go wrong choosing The Castleton!

“Best B and B Ever !”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 16 October 2011

We have been visiting Swanage for many years and have never stayed at The Castleton before - what a find, it cannot be faulted everything was perfect - you try your hardest to find something that you would like to change but we never did. Julian and Maggie are the best hosts and The Castleton is a credit to them both. The staff were polite and friendly. The rooms and public areas were spotless and the breakfasts were delicious and very fresh. We can't wait to go back.

“What a find!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 6 October 2011

Wanted to stay in Dorset so went on to Trip Advisor to look at the reviews. Having read about The Castleton I rang and spoke to Maggie who was extremely helpful and our booking was made. Meeting Julian and Maggie is like meeting up with old friends and they provided lots of local information. Accommodation could not be faulted and, to accommodate our booking we were even offered to move rooms for one night which we really appreciated. We were in Room 2 (Room 3 for the last night) both excellent. Large choice for breakfast in a lovely conservatory, we went for the full English which lasted us the day!! I would recommended The Castleton and we will certainly return. Easy walk to the beach, lovely pub for a nice meal opposite, nice restaurant a short walk way and a bus stop nearby if you want to leave your car. Easy to walk in Swanage for other choices. Thank you to Julian, Maggie and the background team.

Room Tip: Both Rooms 2 & 3 were good

“Charming B&B with warm, friendly service”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 12 September 2011

We only had one night in Swanage and booked The Castleton after reading great reviews online, and we weren't disappointed! Julian & Maggie warmly welcomed us upon our arrival and recommended a fabulous seafood restaurant (The Ocean Bay) a short stroll away towards the beach, which served up an amazing fare & ambience. Wished we had a few days to spare...The Castleton was a short stroll away from the high street, in a quieter location, and was perfect for a couple like us. Thanks again to Julian and Maggie :)
