“New Years Dream”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 January 2012

Having just returned from a fantastic New Years weekend break at the Liston Hotel I cannot speak highly enough of the whole weekend. From our arrival on Friday 30 December 2011 when we were met with a glass of punch and mince pie to our departure on Monday 2 January 2012 nothing whatsoever appeared too much trouble. The hotel was very clean and tidy and in an excellent location. The entertainment on all three nights was also very good. The food was of the very highest standard throughout and what more can be said about the seven course meal on New Years Eve. What a pity there were only 19 of us on our coach trip but certainly this did not tend to deter the management, staff or entertainers

Room Tip: Room 8, overlooking the front entrance was perfect with 1 double and 2 twin beds

“Very comfortable & homely place”

We stayed for one night as I had booked tickets to see the Stereophonics at the nearby O2 Academy in Boscombe. I wanted somewhere nearby to save on taxi fares. The Liston is perfect only 5 mins walk from the venue.
We were warmly welcomed & our room was large, airy & bright. Ideal for what we wanted, at a very reasonable price we thought for a Saturday night. Breakfast was delicious which prepared us for a brisk walk along the nearby sandy Boscombe beach before heading home.
I recommend the Linton hotel to anyone wishing to stay in Boscombe.

“Turkey and Tinsel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 1 December 2011

Just had a 5 day National Holidays Turkey and Tinsel at this hotel. The room was very clean and all the neccesities were at hand. The hotel, itself, is near the sea front and in an convienent area of Boscombe Spa, Bournemouth. The food was nicely presented and delicious. The only fault I have with this hotel was the entertainment. The first and third night was very good but the second night (Christmas day night) we had no entertainment and was charged for a raffle (one pound a ticket) which was obviously spent on the only supper provided by mine host. There were 29 people in the party and only 8 pounds spent on the prizes. The last nights entertainment was diabolical as it was a guitar player who obviously did not want to be there in the room for the night and only played music to entertain himself. He actually told us he only did "night gigs" as a hobby.

Room Tip: Beware some of the windows in the rooms are not double glazed and therefore can be very cold in wint...

recently stayed in November 2011 and found the same high standard as before.Rooms were
very clean and well equiped. Mine hosts were very attentive and supplied a high class level of
food with an excellent choice. Excellent value.

Room Tip: after discussion between our friends(6 couples) we decided it was dificult to choose the best.

“So good we stayed twice”

Have stayed on two occasions this year using two different bedrooms both of which were very nicely decorated, clean and comfortable. We really enjoyed the food and would recommend the a la carte menu. All the staff, led by Diane were very helpful and friendly.
The hotel is just a few minutes walk from the beach and Bournemoth town centre is a short car or bus ride away.
