We visited Bournemouth this winter for a weekend. Although the value for money was ok and the breakfast was freshly cooked there were some things that need to be mentioned.The hotel seems to be renovated and the decor is modern. However there was a bad smell coming from the bathroom. The hotel did not provide any shampoos and there was only one towel for each person in the room. I believe that there are little things to be done in order to be a nice place to spend the weekend...

I must admit reading some of the reviews on here I wasnt looking forward to staying there.
On arrival and walking into the reception area i was totally overwhelmed by the modern decor and the friendly welcome by the receptionist. The room i was allocated was on the first floor and again freshly decorated , clean and comfortable , the bathroom was again clean and modern , the preasure on the shower is fantastic nearly blows u away .
The breakfast is a hot buffet breakfast and u can help yourself to as much as u like , all included in the £40 I paid for the nights stay.
I am glad that i gave the hotel a chance and being honest i have no complaints what so ever about the place .........unlike some !!!!!
Talking to the staff , the hotel has gone under total refurbishment in the past year and the end results is very nice.
I look forward to staying there again when on business in that area.
All I would say is .......give it a try , u might be plesently surprised like me .

I booked this hotel for one night after Christmas to visit family in Bournemouth. However, my baby was very unwell and he ended up hospitalised on Christmas day and Boxing day... My husband and I had sleepless nights with worry whether he would be OK, we were also concerned for our other two children who had to stay home (with granddad) during this time. Sadly this will be a memorable Christmas for all the wrong reasons. So... to the point this hotel refused to refund us any money for the booking, even when I said to them I was calling from the hospital and could fax or email a letter from the doctor as evidence. There was no sympathy what so ever, not even in consideration for the time of year! The receptionist definitely needs some people skills in addition to general training in telephone manners and communication. Needless to say my family and I will NEVER stay at this hotel.

I must admit i was dreading staying here after reading some recent reviews but upon entry we were greeted by a helpful lady, the rooms are clean and breakfast was a hot buffet. Couldnt find a fault and just a 5quid taxi fron main bars/clubs.
