Friends and I stayed while cycling from London to Lands End and found staff to be very friendly and helpful. Manager went the extra mile a couple of times to help us with bikes, early check-in and out. The place is obviously going through a refurb but the room we had was very new, very clean and perfectly comfortable. For £15 each, we thought this was the bargain of the entire trip. We paid more for youth hostels in other places and here we had a private bathroom.
Breakfast was very basic.
Not for a romantic getaway and I expect its a bit hectic and noisy at the weekends, but more than acceptable for four lads passing through.

Myself and my boyfriend had one issue after another with out journey this day and after 3 hours of journeying we couldn't wait to get to our hotel. When the taxi driver pulled up outside we thought there must be some mistake. The hotel looked nothing like the "refurbished" photo but was still being done over by the look of it! There was not only letters missing from the hotel name but also scaffolding covering one side of the building. The worse was yet to come though.

Our hotel room was diabolical and this is why: The window was broken; the curtain were broken and stained; the walls were stained; the bed sheets were dirty; there were dead spiders and bugs on the floor and all over the windowsill; the tv didn't work; the shower was dirty and the hot and colds taps were on the wrong way round meaning you so you'd turn on the hot tap and get freezing water coming out and vice versa; the toilet was coming away from the floor; the ceiling was broken; the bathroom walls were covered with thick brown stains running down the walls from the room above and there was a huge shelf over the sink meaning if you wanted to wash your face or brush your teeth you had to crouch under it. I can safely say the room looked nothing like the fake photo they had on many websites. Plus I phone up to cancel the booking well within their time limit as I had to push the booking back due to a bereavement. Whoever I spoke to on the phone told me it had been changed but when I checked my bank account a few days later they had taken my money anyway and, despite my saying I'll pay when I got there, told me they would keep hold of the money and I should pay the rest when I see them. This was not what I asked them to do but I was not listened to!!

If that wasn't bad enough the all two of the staff we saw were not very accommodating. I recall one incident where one of the men refused to turn the lights on in the seating area for us at night so we were sat in pitch black at the computer trying to find out what restaurants were about. To solve this we decided to turn the kitchen lights on round the corner to give a bit of light for which we were told off for turning on for the meagre amount of light it gave us. The lounge/seating area was also locked most of the time and the "disco" they said they had was in fact a broken dangling tiny disco ball that was hanging from the ceiling of their little bar. One other time comes to mind of at 11pm when we came downstairs to find a family, who were meant to be checking in that night and who had young children, stranded because the men behind reception had locked it up early.
OH ALSO we were warned by the taxi driver of this hotel as we were leaving as it is known in the area for being awful and is on the cab companies' black list in the area as it would call taxis for customers and then fine the taxi drivers for coming on their property as trespassers!

With this place we certainly learnt our lesson and we've warned everyone!!!

Under new Managment apparently, after visiting this hotel for a stag doo and being so shocked with the state of the place i came on here to read some reviews, looks like the breakfasts havent changed or possibly still the same eggs since 2008, plastic cheese, and Ham, selection of yogurts etc,

Tv didnt work in our room, chip out of the socket too, Beds were rickatty and not all complete,

High(low)lights of the stay:
Great wall of Bournemouth blocking any view of whats around you.
Showers didnt work unless lowerd the head to the floor.
Expensive towels that apparently go missing.
Corner toilet facilitys where needed.

One good thing is location, short walk into town which is clean, tidy busy with life Clubs were brilliant Friends and family were great and the rest of the Stag doo was 5*, everything the Lyndon Court Hotel wasnt.

This is a wonderful hotel, the staff are so friendly! I would go as far to say this is the friendliest hotel in Bournemouth. We stayed in the Lyden Suite located in the west wing. The bunk beds were very cosy although we didn’t have a safety bar on the top bunk. There were electrical wires hanging out the wall, but we just pushed a bag against these. The en-suite didn’t have a lock, so all 8 of us became quickly acquainted, great for team building. The lack of curtains meant we awoke to a beautiful sunrise very early each morning. The shower only worked when you lowered it to the floor and switched it on, which was great as it reminded you to wash your feet first. The full skip outside was a great reflection of how the building industry in the South has really picked up. The onsite bar served good foreign beers which had been purchased from a multi pack so it was great to know we were supporting the local supermarkets. Breakfast was a real c*ntinental selection, ham, cheese, boiled eggs, yogurt (3 for a £1) fresh carton juices, tea coffee toast & a wide selection of jams. Parking was £4 a day, which was piece of mind knowing the car would be safe.
I hope you enjoy your weekend as much as we did, we probably wouldn’t stay again due to other commitments but worth a visit……………………..
