“Cozy little hotel with very nice staff”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 October 2010

Stayed at this hotel for a few nights. Had no complaints. It does what it says on the box but it is of course no Ritz. You can see that refurbishment is in progress. Got lots of local information at check-in and a discount card for local amenities. German staff was very nice.
Beautiful location, just 500m from the sea. Nice restaurants nearby.
Would definitely come back.

“Lovely stay in charming family B&B at the seaside”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 31 August 2010

I stayed at this sweet and family run hotel for one night at the very busy bank holiday weekend with my partner. And although you would expect the hotel to be full and noisy it was an extremly relaxing and quiet stay due to the excellent room layout, the thick carpet and the wooden doors. The room was towards the street, but due to the double glazing, the traffic could not be heard and the seaside is visible from the balcony. The location (2 minutes from the Pier in Boscombe) added to the convenience of staying at Denewood Hotel. The staff was very accomodating and helpful from the booking (we booked spontaneously a day beforehand) until the warm welcome. The breakfast was far above average what you usually get in higher priced B&Bs in Britain. We had the English option which was rich and tasty and far too much to eat especially after having toast and cereals as well as a yoghurt beforehand as we expected the usual boring B&B English breakfast.
After having a chat with the manager (who we met briefly while waiting for a taxi) we got told that refurbishment works are undertaken at the moment explaining the paint smell in the hallway and apologizing for the inconvenience caused (we did not smell anything but appreciated his explanations and friendly approach).
All in all it was a relaxing stay for a very good price considering the excellent quality of service, rooms and breakfast and I can only recommend the hotel for anyone wanting a convenient stay in a charming B&B directly at the coast of Britain.

“CRAP! CRAP! AND MORE CRAP.....”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 22 August 2010

I VISITED THIS HOTEL FOR THE BOURNEMOUTH AIR SHOW IN AUGUST AND WE HAD SUCH A TERRIBLE TIME.
The hotel is filthy dirty, needs a good clean and repaint, I could not see out of the windows as they were so dirty.
The bed that we slept had a wooden door between the mattress and the divan, as the bottom divan was broken.
The bathroom flooded every time we showered as there was no shower curtain! ( how stupid is that?)
there was an arm cahir in our room which was broken.
there was a walldrobe door which had a note on it ` DO NOT OPEN BROKEN'...... we was told it was going to be repaired on the next day.... we never saw it repaired!

bathroom mouldy
bath rusty

very noisy rooms from the traffic outside, especially the dust carts at 5.30am!

the carpet on the upper stair case is thread bare!

the communial living room was the pits, it had a settee and armchairs that was all broken and you could not sit on them, if you did sit on it you would be better sitting on the floor.

the breakfast was so boring, and tasteless, had to keep asking for more butter and toast...
i would not recommend this hotel to my worst enermy...
GO ELSE WHERE.

The Hotel was great, the staffs were every time friendly and helpful and the location around was fantastic … it’s a nice place to go by holiday…we had a fabulous week there and we enjoyed every single day. The breakfast was fine. The rooms were very comfortable and clean. It was an enjoyable stay there and we would book it again…
