“Great hotel”

I first stayed at The Belvedere in November whilst on a Creative Memories weekend.
It is a lovely friendly hotel in a wonderful situation for both the beach and shopping.
We stayed on a half board basis. The Breakfasts were either buffet style with plenty of choice or you could choose from a breakfast menu.
Dinner was a 3 course set menu. The food was lovely and there was plenty of it.
My room was very clean and a good size and the shower was lovely and hot. ........
As was the room temperature. Even with the radiator off...it was incredibly warm.
The decor was cosy and charming.
The pool is a nice size and was warm.
I feel this hotel offers tremendous value for money..so much so I stayed there again a month later. This time on a B & B basis . To our amazement they offer a night porter food service. We came back to the hotel really hungry after a night out and without any hesitation the lovely night porter rustled us up a couple of sandwiches which were huge! You don't find this very often. In fact all the staff were really friendly and helpful, which helped to make our stay so pleasant. I will definitely go back.

“what are you people on????”

i visit hotels all over europe in my job, and this ranks as one of the best i have ever stayed at, i dont know who writes the reviews on here, blind people.... other jealous hotels in the area????
the staff are VERY friendly, will bend over backward to sort out any problems and help, are ALL well mannered and spoken, the hotel is warm, the food prepared and cooked the way it should be, and served piping hot and of excellent quality, the rooms are spacious and we even got our room serviced on christmas day. the entertainment is excellent. the rooms could do with updating, but hey, you only sleep in them, the swimming pool, jacuzzi and sauna were very clean, with the hotel providing free towels for residents. 3 stars is too low for this establishment and i would highly recommend the belvedere to anyone wanting to stay near the town in bournemouth, i will deffo be staying here again

Room Tip: ALL good rooms, all areas of hotel are in good order, have been in worse 4 star hotels

“Coaching Hotel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 16 December 2011

I visited this hotel in early December, as part of a 25 strong coach party, and stayed 4 nights.
The hotel, although only rated 3 star, was very comfortable, and clean, Staff were courteous and friendly, particularly Mark the duty manager.
Good class entertainment was provided on two nights, with a very active Bingo session arranged for the remaining nights.
Although there were 4 coach loads staying there, the eating aarrangements worked well, with staggered mealtimes working well. The evening menu could be larger, but the food was of good quality.
The breakfast could not be faulted, with a large variety of choice, and plenty of everything, no matter what time I came into the restaurant.
There were also residents who were not part of any coach party, and as far as I learnt, they were also well satisfied.
All in all, this hoteconsistently provided a great standard for a large crowd of peopl, and had the evening menu had a larger choice, I would have awarded 5 stars

Room Tip: I undrstand that some single rooms were rather small, and did not justify the additional suppliment...

“Very pleasant stay”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 11 December 2011

Reviews of this hotel in recent months have been mixed to put it mildly but my recent experiences have been most pleasant. I spent three days, (2 nights b & b with evening meal) as part of a Leisuetime (Cardiff) coach tour recently and, although a single traveller, I was allocated a room with a comfortable double bed, spacious bathroom, flat screen tv and generous tea/coffe making facilities with biscuits.Breakfast was served buffet style with plenty of options whilst the evening meals were well cooked and delicious. I found the staff friendly whilst an added bonus wasx that Manfred's Bar, (named after the German owner) sold some exquisie real ale in the form of Ringwoods Best Bitter and Fortininer. I had a most pleasant weekend and would certainly stay here again

Room Tip: Istayed in Room 110 which was very comfortable
