Janet Hooper is a superb hostess who goes the extra mile to give the guests every comfort.

My husband and I decided to have a short break and explore Dartmoor, which neither of us had done before. I did my research and finally settled on Great Court Farm for out 2 night stay. It was an ideal location for us as it is very close to the centre of Totnes, which is a 20 minute leisurely stroll away.

On arrival we were warmly met by Janet, who served us a very welcome cup of tea and home made cakes. The house is beautiful and spotlessly clean. Our room was very comfortable and the bathroom was huge, with a plentiful supply of fluffy towels. The cooked breakfast was one of the best we have ever had and left us feeling full for hours.

I have very high expectations and was not disappointed. Nothing was too much trouble for Janet and I cannot recommend her highly enough. We will certainly be visiting Great Court Farm again.

We had a wonderful time at the farm, Janet was most friendly and helpful especially regarding the MUST places to go and see, one being The Round Robin which we really enjoyed. Just sitting by The Dart River was very relaxing after a day out. One of the highlights at the farm was Janet's full english breakfast which is a must. The accomodation was very spacious and again exceeded our expectations, although we had a seperate bathroom which was a short way along the hall, we found this not to be a problem. We look forward to our next visit which we hope will be very soon. Thank you again Janet

Our second enjoyable visit this year. Hubby raves over the Farmhouse Breakfast, he had the full works every morning, I on the other hand like to vary things and make my choice from the extensive menu provided after a large dish of Pineapple and Blueberries, (with a slight kick in the juice!).
Different room this time but very pleasant with views over Totnes, We have stayed in all three rooms now and found them all very comfortable with excellent facilities provided. On arrival we received our usual warm welcome complete with Tea and Ginger Cake.
We made excellent use of public transport, either by walking down to Totnes or to the end of Blackpost Lane. No need to use a car, ours never moved from arrival to departure a week later.
Looking forward to next visit in October.
