“Comfortable and quaint”

Nora and Andy are a friendly couple who go to a great deal of trouble to make sure that their guests are comfortable and that all their needs are met. The rooms are comfortable and spotlessly clean. The breakfast is excellent. Nora and Andy shop locally in the town and are committed to recycling - a big plus for us. We had a great stay and would thoroughly recommend Corner Cottage.

Corner Cottage - what a delight!

I would say, proper boutique B&B, very tastefully decorated, warm and clean; the hosts very friendly but never overpowering - I arrived late on the first night - Andy waved me into the car park, carried my bags in then got me a pint before last orders at the local where I relaxed after my drive from London... to some anarchic carol singing and tuba playing (welcome to Totnes).

This was a classy retreat for me and I will try and stay whenever I'm visiting South Devon - christmas or otherwise.

Oh and perfectly cooked scrambled eggs!

:-)

I had a fantastic weekend at corner cottage. The cottage itself is clean, cosy and bright with loads of character, books to read, luxurious bedding and power showers! It's located in the heart of Totnes a stones throw from the shops, market and the town's best pubs. The owner's, Nora and Andy, were especially friendly, welcoming and good fun with great local knowledge and loads of suggestions of what to do with a weekend in Totnes / Devon and good recommendations of the best places to eat, shop, see the sights and walk. The food they made was v tasty - a full english breakfast with completely organic and locally sorced ingredients + a range of cereals and freshly made fruit salad and juice.

I highly recommend Corner Cottage!

My daughter and I stayed at Corner Cottage, a beautiful old cottage situated on the main high street of Totnes, near the old market and town centre. The hosts were friendly and informative and did everything to make our stay enjoyable. The rooms are spacious and have an old world charm, with thick walls and first class accommodation. Our room had a lovely ensuite, was warm and cosy and was decoratively furnished to a very high standard. The hosts provide a full english breakfast and there is also a vegetarian option. There are many alternatives on offer and lots of tea and coffee provided. Corner cottage is near some wonderful scenery and the famous Dartington Hall which is a must if you should visit. Totnes itself is lively and full of character and offers an amazing range of shops to browse in. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay there and would recommend it highly.

  • Liked — The high quality of the accommodation and the friendliness of the hosts.
  • Disliked — I have nothing to say here, it was all excellent.
  • Tips/Secrets — Go to Dartington Hall, visit some of the little towns/villages near the sea, go shopping in Totnes!!!

This B & B deserves a mention! Nora and Andy are so friendly and welcoming and nothing is too much trouble.
Our accommodation was spacious and yet homely with an ace shower in the en-suite. Breakfast is excellent with plenty of choices, all beautifully cooked by chef Andy with freshly prepared fruit salad and speciality breads.
Corner House is so convenient for the town - no need to get you car out and there's lots to do and see in the surrounding area as well as in and around Totnes.
Though very central, Corner Cottage is not at all noisy and there is trouble free parking opposite. I would recommend Corner Cottage unreservedly!
