We spent 2 nights at Westgate at the end of August '11. Owners were really welcoming and helpful throughout our whole stay, therefore we had a pleasant stay. The place was very clean and quite close to the beach where people cand find a rich variety of restaurants, shops and entertainment. We recommend it.

We have just returned from our fifth stay at the Westgate, and we are never disappointed.
Paul and Lorraine take great pride in the cleanliness and the service they provide. Breakfasts are of excellent quality and having seen all the rooms available I can say whichever room was allocated they are all of superior standard. The situation, just behind Torre Abbey is ideal, it is nice and quiet but just a pleasant stroll to all that Torquay has to offer. We have never been short of ideas as to what to do in the Devon area but if we were Paul and Lorraine are very knowledgeable regarding the area and can direct you to all the best attractions. This is a very friendly home from home hotel with hosts that can't do enough for you.

Fantastic hotel, great food and hosts. If we go to Torquay we use The Westgate. Don't hesitate to book this hotel.

Lorraine & Paul were excellent hosts. Very friendly, helpful and genuinely lovely people. Food excellent and plenty of it, thank you Lorraine. Four-Poster room was an excellent good sized room, very clean and property well maintained and decorated throughout. Paul's knowledge of area and places of interest was vast and very informative.
