We chose this bed and breakfast because of the good reviews but while it is extremely good value we had some minor reservations.
Our room, number one,was a bit small so that we didn't really know where to put the single chair! While the bathroom was small, it had a large shower enclosure and good and steady hot water temperature. The whole room was very clean and in perfect order. Unfortunately, the plumber had been called out and our first night in January,was chilly in our room. When we pointed this out on the second evening that our radiator was barely lukewarm, we were told that it was not surprising that our previous night had been cold because the plumbing needed to be fixed . However it was only then, we were given an electric heater,without fuss.
We have a dog and we mentioned this on arrival and were told that dogs were £5 extra per night, which surprised us.
As our dog is used to sleeping in our car, there she remained!
The breakfast was good and quickly served.
Excellent value at £104 to 3 nights for two persons, clean and in perfect order, with free parking.

“Perfect for the whole family”
We stayed here for two nights with our family pet. Nice to find somewhere thats dog friendly but is also lovely and clean and serves a top breakfast. Location is just outside the fishing village and its all so stunning around this area its a pleasure to drive around. Friendly owners would stay again.

“What a little gem”
Visited for a weekend break, our room (no 1) was amazing, the attention to detail was 100% and the little extras personalised it. Russell & Helen were lovely,welcoming hosts, the breakfast options were outstanding, very tasty and overall they offer extremely good value for money. Whilst not in the town centre, (which means its lovely and quiet) it is only a 15 min walk away, I would definately recommend anyone visiting Torquay to stay there.

“Really nice place”
We stayed here in Sept just for a 4 night break, I wanted to take the dog on holiday with us and didn't want to spend a fortune. The sandpiper was the ideal place. They made us feel very welcome even with a massive dog!!! Breakfast is lovely and I looked forward to it every morning. Our room was a little bit small for 2 adults and a dog but that was the only downside to the whole place. Owners lovely.
Will defo return here when i return to Torquay.
