you will not beat this hotel and the proprietors PETE & CAROL, for friendliness and helpfulness, we have spent every year with them since they took over the hotel, they have become friends of ours now, so if you are looking for one of the best hotels in TORQUAY to stay, THIS IS THE ONE FOR YOU. will follow up to these comments after this years stay with them.

Loved this hotel,it made our whole time in Devon more pleasant. Devon itself was beautiful and the people are so friendly. The hotel was spotless not a speck of dust in sight. Lovely views and really lovely friendly people. Would defintly go back again. Beds were so comfortable.

My husband and I stayed in the superior room with pool view. It was spacious, bright and comfortable. Lovely comfortable bed and sofa in room. Just as photos on hotel's website. The hotel is clean and decortated to a high standard. The room had a flat screen TV, hairdryer, fan and a small portable fridge (the type that holds a few cans.) Bathroom was modern with a large shower.
The staff at the hotel are extremely welcoming, helpful and polite. The bar has cans and bottles which were lovely and cold and very reasonably priced! Breakfast was very good. the pool was heated but could do with being a few degrees warmer!

Looking at comments on trip advisor for various hotels, the devon court hotel far excelled any of the others. This was the reason we chose the hotel and we werent disappointed.
The location was just right, for the seafront, the harbour and the town centre. The hotel was not too big, rooms were spotless and tastefully decorated. We were booked into the four poster room, which was lovey and comfortable and they put a camp bed in their also, for my partners 8 year old daughter.
Peter and Carol the owners were lovely and although my partner, his daughter and myself had never met them before, we felt as though we had known them years as they made us so welcome.
We only stayed for 4 days but really enjoyed our stay and Carol even made us a flask for our long journey home - free of charge!
We would certainly stay here again.
Many of the guests have been coming back year after year and that says a lot!
If I had any negative comment it would be that the room we were in, didnt have a fan in the bathroom.
