I stayed here this week and am happy to say the Cranmore Hotel was a very enjoyable place to rest my head for the night. Really enjoyed the breakfast as well.

We cannot speak highly enough of the hospitality extended to us on our stay. From the warm greeting after our long journey to the delicious breakfasts, great traveling advice and the lovely room...everything was bang on. We both felt it was great value and wouldn't hesitate recommending the Cranmore hospitality to anyone planning a trip down to Devon.

Originally we'd planned on heading away up to Snowdonia, but given unfavourable weather reports, we made a very last minute change-up. It was certainly the best last minute change in travel plans we could have made. Only briefly did we look at the reviews on this travel site...in fact reading the subject lines on comments were enough for us and we promptly booked one night.

We were so happy with the accommodations that the following morning we decided over breakfast to book a second night Dean and Richard. They were most obliging.

I would not hestiate to recommend Cranmore. Go, GO ! ! !

Stayed here in September with my partner. We had decided not to go abroad so wanted to spend a bit more on accom. in this country so looked at 4 star and exec/deluxe rooms.
This was a nice guest house, very clean, great food for breakfast and nicely decorated etc. We were however disappointed with the executive room, thinking we were going to get some particuarly nice, to find that the pictures were somewhat deceptive and the room very small. You had really nowhere to put suitcases/bags and could only just walk round the bed. We found it quite claustrophobic having spent a few evenings in the room. The bathroom is also not very private as only had a sliding door that does not lock.
Other than this we were happy but it was quite a big deal that it was smaller than expected.
Would reccomend it but thought that I should warn potential guests that it is small. However if you were to stay in any of the many guesthouses along that street, you would no doubt have a similar room as they are pretty much identical houses.

I have been staying at the hotel for the past seven months.
paul and bev are just great, nothing is to much,
if you let them know that you would like to eat in,
then just let them know at breakfast and they will do some amazing eveningmeals for you.
i have been treat like a friend and have also been out with them for an evening meal.
they hotel is very clean and normally fully booked. the best rooms to stay in are rooms two three four and five which are all on the first floor. the four post bed is an amazing high quailty room and i have stayed in this room the most. paul and bev make this place feel like home.
i will be returning to the cranmore hotel at the end of august with my girlfriend.
this is worth the trip and torquay is a lovely place to stay.
