me and my husband, who are both in our 30's recently stayed at the headland for a 4 night break with our 3 year old son. I could not disagree more with above said review. The food and resaturant service was excellent. I did not time the service times but they felt spot on. Yes there was a lot of retired people there, who dressed up every night for their evening meal ,but there was also other young people there too. It was a lovely experience. My son had an absolute ball! As for needing to be able bodied the hotel run a FREE taxi service up and down to Torquay,which is amazing for the price, so that would not be a problem! the room we were in was perfect with a great view. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Even with a 3 year old in tow we managed to have a relaxing break in this fantastic hotel. i would definately recommend it to anyone. Thankyou to all the staff you were great.

We have stayed there befor and whent back because it was great, food excerlent, room great, staff they are always there for you nothink is to much trouble, we will always go back there, very clean and helpfull. If your looking for hotel the headland is the one for the price, food, room,very clean,helpfull staff. Rob & maderlain pensioners merseyside.

Spent 5 days there with a local tour company. Couldn't ask for a better hotel. Staff were very welcoming and helpful. Food and service excellent. Room, clean and spacious. Tea/coffee and biscuits on day of arrival and departure. Evening entertainment and free gifts. Although we had coach tours every day, if you only wanted to spend time in Torquay the hotel provided a free taxi service into town and back. Enjoyed our stay and will definately return.
Would definately recommend this hotel.

just returned from a 1 night stay at the headland great building with lots of character ,the price we paid included dinner & breakfast ,we felt what we recieved was great value for money , my only complaint would be that we felf our evening meal was served in a hurry !!! with no time at all in beteen courses to breathe it felt as though they wanted us in & out asap so we did not feel very relaxed !! however no comlaints about the quality of the food & we would deffinately like to return in the future.
