We stayed here after my brothers wedding, previously being recommended it by my sister who had already stayed here. We got in late after the wedding and they had very kindly put our luggage into our rooms, (my brother had taken them to the hotel early in the day but the rooms were not available yet). They had put out an extra mattress on the floor at no extra cost to accomodate all 4 of us as the family room had already been taken. A spacious room, very clean. A little disappointed in the showeroom, The toilet is facing a wall with very little leg room and the shower wasn't very good. The breakfast was lovely but could of been a bit bigger to be called 'The Works', these are little things though, it was a great place to stay, close to the railway station.

Beautifully renovated and recently decorated downstairs lounge and breakfast room. My room, which I booked as a single was bright and spotlessly clean with a great shower. The breakfast was lovely and the landlady very friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend this to anyone visiting Plymouth. I have visited the town a few times to visit and collect/drop off my son at uni, and this is the best place I have stayed so far.

I picked this hotel after reading the reviews here and they hit the nail on the head. Within walking distance of the station and the university which was great as I had an interview at the university. I was greeted and showed to my room which was spacious, clean and fresh. Heidi ( I think) welcomed me to Plymouth and recommended a few places to eat/ visit. Even carried my suitcase up to my room.

Breakfast is sourced locally and served in a pleasantly decorated dinning room which catches the sun in the morning. Just before I set off fo my interview, Heidi offered to let me leave my suitcase in the hotel whilst I attended my inteview which meant I avoided the trouble of hiking around with a suitcase and my laptop.

I slept with the window open and there was no noise from the train station.

If i get a place at the university then I will definitely stay here again. Thank you!
