Thanks to David and jane our stay here was fab, we went to watch our son's parade through Plymouth on his return from a very long tour in Afgan ,the rooms are spotless and David does a mean breakfast, they were happy to cook you anything for breakfast even though there was plenty of choice already on the menu.Its easy to get to town and there is a good pub just along the road "The yard arm" they do good meals.We di try to book for the music of the night this year but because it is so popular they are full, we have to find another it will be hard to beat for value and cleanliness.

We have stayed at the Athenaeum Lodge at least half a dozen times as our youngest daughter is studying at Plymouth Uni and is in her final year. We can highly recommend it, because of the warm, friendly welcome from the hosts, Jane and David. The great choice of breakfast, which each time has been first class, The rooms are always very clean, comfortable and the most important thing - you are guaranteed a good nights sleep. We would give this 5 stars!

Wonderful hospitality, rooms and location. Much better and cheaper than the posh hotel I stayed in during the last time I was in Plymouth.

We received a very warm welcome from Jane and David who were happy to allow us an early check in. Our room was spotless and breakfast a real treat. We will return!
