Chester House was my home for 14 days whilst taking an intensive course whilst staying in Plymouth. I couldn’t have picked a better place to stay. I am a native Norwegian, and didn’t know anything about Plymouth before I arrived at 3 am one morning. Got excellent information, and the owners Andy and Dot were outstanding in helping and giving advice. Everyone was friendly, and I felt that I was welcome immediately. Last night was our eighth night on the road staying at B & B's from Dover to Plymouth and Chester House in Stuart Road Plymouth has been the best by far. The hosts Dot and Andy made us feel welcome even before we arrived with their pleasant and friendly manner when we booked with advice on not only directions but the availability of facilities at Chester House and in the surrounding area. On arrival we where offered a drink and shown our room and the other aspects of the house. The room was a double with ensuite, it was large, cormfortable and spotless. Breakfast was plentiful, freshly cooked and served with nice conversation and a genuie interest in your activities shown by the hosts. We would not hesitate to recommend Chester House and its hosts Dot and Andy to any traveller in the Plymouth area.

This B&B is a wondeful place. I stayed here for 2 nights, 20th and 21st September 2011. My girlfriend had here graduation on the Monday so with her parents and brother we stayed in 3 rooms.
Although my girlfriend's family had some experience of staying at Chester House, i hadn't. The rooms were very clean and well maintained. The beds were dangerously comfortable but luckily the breakfast were worth getting up for.
The breakfast was served with a smile and some very pleasing jokes. Plenty of food available even for the largest appetites. Absolutely delicious and a great way to start the day.
The shower on the 1st floor was incredible!
This B&B is definitly great value. I will be definitely be staying here again on my next visit to Plymouth.

Saver both Tony and Dot very accommodating friendly pleasant basically very down to earth. Advised us of the best section in town to get the fish we wanted. If it was not so far I would visit every weekend.
