Rooms in need of modernising, but clean and comfortable. Great base for exploring Salcombe, Polperro, Fowey etc. Very good buffet breakfast and superb value at £40 per double room (including breakfast) in April.

We paid £35 for 2 nights beween Christmas and the start of the New Year with breakfast for 2 through booking.com. The breakfast was worth that alone. A definite bargain. We went as a group and were given adjoining rooms. The rooms were basic but comfortable and clean. The breakfast was a great full English and the catering staff set a long table for all 18 of us to have breakfast together. The lobby had a nice bar and a game area where we socalised, not always quietly without being moaned at. Infact the staff were so friendly some would stop for a chat. A great couple of days and we will definitely return when the swimming pool is open.

Shall definitely stay here again. The price was extremely good for a hotel of this quality. The roundabout didn't bother us too much but I imagine it could be a problem in the summer. The breakfast was excellent and the bar was very good. There were even board games available for the guests. There is a cycle/walking track behind the hotel which goes up onto the moors on a disused railway line. Very good.

we booked this hotel through booking.com and we got deal of the week 3 nights bed and breakfast for £52 for the both of us.
We could not fault our stay the rooms were white basic but very clean we liked the fact our loo was seperate to the bathroom.
breakfast was excellant everything we required in a full english or a cold buffet.
staff were extremely helpful and our room didnt have much noise to say we were overlooking a busy roundabout.
we would recommend a stay here and we will return it was a bit dated but not tatty.
