“A wonderful experience in beautiful Lynton”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 12 February 2012

A stay in this beautiful and peaceful guest house, with tranquility, bird song and views accross the valley is a memory we will never forget. The rooms are comfortable with all amenities and spotlessly clean. Our's had an en suite sitting room. The proprietors are friendly and always ready to help guests with their questions.
Breakfasts are unbeleivable, with a wide choice prepared in any way requested. There are always lots of homemade treats awaiting you every day.
If you are looking for a comfortable, homely stay, this is the place for you!

“bitterly cold weather but a warm welcome from the hosts of pine lodge”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 February 2012

We arrived on Friday evening at the start of what was one of the coldest weekends of the year so far. John greeted us with a pot of tea and Linda produced homemade cake. An absolute treat. We stayed in the suite en-suite. Our room was immaculately clean, and, although it didn't have a face-on valley view, we had a separate sitting room which was an unexpected bonus. The bathroom was modern and very clean. The bed was comfortable (a firm mattress, which was perfect for us) and the duvet was excellent and kept us warm. John and Linda were very friendly and accommodating and clearly want their guests to get the most out of their stay. We had arrived just at the very start of the season and lots of places were closed, but they were able to give us some excellent recommendations on what to do and where to eat. The lemon marmalade, yoghurt, compote and jam (all homemade!!) were great and they catered very well for vegetarians. The location was also ideal and very picturesque. There is also on-site parking.

Room Tip: The valley is so beautiful be sure to get a room with the best view.

“Great place, exceeded our expectations”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 16 January 2012

The B&B was perfect for us. The owners constantly went out of their way to provide us with as much information about the area as possible, lending us maps and even offering to let us borrow a pair of their waterproof trousers! The accommodation was very clean and provided everything we needed. Breakfast was wonderful and well-presented and kept us going for hours. The surrounding countryside was beautiful, as it is set on a steep hill overlooking a bit of the valley and river below. We had a car, so everything we needed was within a few minutes' drive- gorgeous walks (that included windswept coastline and lovely woods), shops, etc. It was so nice (and for such a nice price!) that we actually stayed a night longer than planned. Unless you require nothing less than a flat screen tv and L'Occitane toiletries, this place is wonderful. Oh God, WAIT! I almost forgot about the BED!! The room we stayed in had a bed made of 2 twins put together, and unlike most hotels/b&bs, they made it so that it just felt like a huge, suuuuuuuper-comfortable bed as opposed to 2 twins shoved together hoping the guess wouldn't notice. The feather pillows and nice duvet didn't hurt, either.. Again, wonderful.

“Jan D & Co”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 23 November 2011

We have just returned from a lovely break at Pine Lodge. The owners, John & Linda, are really nice and helpful without being 'in your face', which is what we've experienced elsewhere! The rooms are really comfortable and clean. The bed was like sleeping in our own! And the view was to die for! Breakfast was plentiful and nothing was too much trouble.Would recommend this for certain. The walk to the village was enjoyable and the local pub, The Crown, was 'entertaining', especially on a saturday night with the locals!! Who were very friendly and welcoming. The food there was very nice too. All in all a very pleasant stay. We booked this through the local tourist centre who were extremely helpful too.

Room Tip: The queen size beds are the most comfortable we have ever slept in away from home. The views are ama...

“Fantastic Guest House”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 28 October 2011

We had a lovely Autumn short break at Pine Lodge. The owners, John and Linda, are extremely friendly and very helpful. Our room was clean and spacious and had a stunning view over the valley. There was lots of choice for breakfast and plenty of it. It is only a short walk into Lynton and enjoyable even in the rain! There are many stunning walks within walking distance of the guest house and many more only a short drive away. This is a very comfortable place to stay if you want to get away from it all and enjoy the peace and quiet of the area. It was also very good value for money.
