We have been to Lynton for 2 weekend breaks in 2011 and have only just remembered to place a review. We have stayed in some very expensive and plush hotels over the years and none come close to the homely feel you get at Longmead House. Alan and Caroline are excellent hosts and make you very welcome on arrival. They are also excellent at recommending where to eat and dine. The rooms are very cosy and clean. Breakfast is superb. A perfect location to explore Lynton, Lynmouth and surrounding area. Unbelievable value for money and we look forward to returning in 2012!

The owners were very welcoming and friendly and as suggested by other reviewers the B&B is in a great location for local walks. We stayed in a room on the second floor and we were very impressed by the cleanliness, the quality of the bedding, the little touches in the room and the attention to detail. Everything on the tea tray was replenished throughout our stay, including the bottles of water and even the biscuits were great quality.

As bed and breakfasts go, this is one of the best we have stayed in and it inspired me to buy some egyptian cotton bedding and good quality pillows myself!

Home from home, stress free break. Caroline & Alan's hospitality is second to none. Ideal location for walking or just chilling out. Lynton & Lynmouth is an excellent place to wander around and relax. Alan's cooking is excellent with varied menu. Excellent value. Will return again. I have no hesitation in recommending this to friends and others.

Fantastic location in Lynton close to Valley of Rocks and Watersmeet. Alan and Caroline were very friednly and welcoming and the food was excellent. We all really enjoyed the stay.
