I stayed at River Lyn View for one night, while on a walking holiday with my sister. We arrived feeling quite exhausted after walking from Porlock, and were made very welcome by the owners. Our room was very comfortable, and quiet.
There was a wide range of options for breakfast, all cooked fresh to order, and the service was great. When we left, the owner very kindly drove us to the start of the Coast Path, to save us waiting half an hour for the railway to open.
I would recommend River Lyn View to anyone looking for a quiet and friendly B&B, just a few minutes stroll from the centre of Lynmouth.

Excellent B&B. What stood out was the small considerate touches the proprietors had added to increase comfort. For examples, teapots in the rooms (not just cups), fresh milk, biscuits for the dog. Very good value for money. Highly recommended.

I stayed there with a friend for one night in July and in spite of the dreadful weather the atmosphere of the place and the warm welcome of the owners made us feel comfortable. Perhaps their gorgeous full English breakfast has something to do with this too !
On top a large plate with fresh and tin tomatoes, mushrooms, egg, bacon, worcester saussage and baked beans all of which were nicely cooked and good quality, you could help yourself to a large variety of cereals, orange and grapefruit juices, yoghurts, toasts and jams... I'm sure anyone could eat his fill !

We have just come back from Lynmouth in Devon. The weather was awful but the B&B was fantastic and brilliant value for money. The room was lovely and comfortable with pretty views of the river. The shower room was immaculate and looked new. The breakfast was enormous and excellent and kept us full till the afternoon. The whole place was so clean but cosy. The owners were really friendly and helpful without being obtrusive and nothing was too much trouble. We had a motorbike and were made quite welcome as were walkers and people with well behaved dogs. A dryer was available for drying wet clothes. We were able to park outside but people with cars had to use the local carpark nearby but a permit was available quite cheaply from the B&B.
Lynton and adjoining Lynmouth both worth a visit and we would thoroughly recommend this B&B.
