I'm afraid we found this place wanting. Yes, the room was large. Yes, the bathroom was large. Yes, the views were lovely. I'm afraid that's about it. The bed was uncomfortable and is way past it's sale by date. The house smelt damp, especially the dining room and looked generally tired and unkempt. Chris was polite enough but we felt her interest was not at all sincere. We know hostesses must get fed up of asking the same old questions but surely that's part of the job. Guests should be made to feel they are welcome. We spent some time chatting to one of the other couples staying there and they also said they weren't impressed and would not stay again.

Bay View ticks all the right boxes for a perfect small b&b. It is in a lovely setting with superb views from our bedroom for which we were upgraded free of charge, the hosts were friendly and helpful showing great hospitality. Breakfast provided quality with a varied choice and would have no hesitation in recommending Bay View to any visitors.

Very comfortable and clean rooms with great sea views and wholesome well cooked meals. Superb value for money. Lovely hosts.
