It was only a one night stopover before travelling further south. Cost £47. This Travelodge is conveniently placed, just off the M5 on the Moto Service Area, and a short drive into Exeter. The place was run down, and needed a good coat of paint everywhere, especially in the main corridors and stairs. The room was basic but also needed a good coat of paint. The bathroom was not up to standard and needed new tiles and grouting. The bath itself was small and very shallow. I even had to duck under the shower as that was too low for me and I'm only five feet tall! The restaurant looked tired and out-dated and pricey for a fish and chips meal. Would not stay there again!

Stayed for one night on our way down to Cornwall.
Bargain price of £12, so could not get better value.
Basic room, clean, extra pillow provided on request.
There is a Harry Ramsdens Fish and Chip restaurant attached to the hotel, but we did not try it.

As most travelodges are similar, the benefit of this one is price, and closeness to the M5 motorway. Rooms are basic ( hairdryer available from reception), but there is an excellent Harry Ramsden restaurant attached to the Motel.

We booked the room for two nights as part of a wedding party. I read a lot of the previous statements after i booked and was very concerned, as had also booked 10 other rooms for various people.Anyway, the room was lovely and we were all very pleased. The room was very clean and so was all the bedding. The shower was fab. I agree that the decor is a little tired, but really not worth all the degative feedback previously given. The staff are lovely and nothing is too much trouble.
