We chose this B&B because we were attending a gala evening at the university which is very near. The owners were very friendly and helpful. The rooms were spotlessly clean and well equipped. The breakfast was superb. So glad we chose it.

I had to make a one day visit to my Head Office in Exeter. For such a brief trip, train was the only way to go. I was therefore looking for reasonably priced accommodation in a convenient location for rail and bus links.
Park View seemed to be in an ideal location and at a very reasonable price. This proved to be the case. Even though it was raining I decided to walk from Exeter St David's station. With a heavy piece of luggage and carrying an umbrella this was hard work and i was quite out of breath by the time I arrived. Despite the climb it couldn't have taken me much more than 10 minutes.
I was warmly greeted and shown to my room. This was perfectly adequate and if there was any comment to be made it is probably that the decor is a bit dated, but then perhaps I have stayed at too many new establishments recently!
I was given directions and suggestions of places to eat. I was advised of a footpath through the park opposite the hotel and this proved to be most convenient making the walk into the City centre quite easy, again no more than 10 minutes.
Breakfast the next morning was perfectly adequate with a good choice and all served.
If I have to visit Exeter for business again I would not hesitate to stay at Park View again.
Hotel is up a small hill and facing a park in Exeter. Very quiet area, but easy to walk downtown, a few blocks to Exeter Central rail station. A very lively Wetherspoons a few blocks away, which was a good recommendation by owners of hotel. Comfortable room, good flatscreen, did have trouble with internet reception, and the stairs are steep and narrow. The owners are very helpful with local information and clearly hard-working, serve good breakfasts in a downstairs room looking out on their garden. Seems easy to meet other guests because of smallness of breakfast room. Close to university.
The hotel is only about 200 yards level walk from the city centre, but faces a park on one side and big gardens on the other, so is very quiet. It is only about 100 yards from each of the 2 main train stations and is very close to the university.
The owners are lovely and nothing is too much trouble. It has off-street parking and wi-fi and a great breakfast.
A few of our friends have stayed here and they all rate it.
Stayed here two nights - 1st landing spot in UK, after flying into Heathrow & a long bus ride.
Quite comfortable room. A bit small, but not unusually so for UK B&Bs. Good wifi connection, excellent breakfast. Easy walk into the center of town (10-15 mins). We also walked to it from the central bus station when we arrived - also about 15 minutes. A gentle uphill walk, and quite doable.
