We booked buckerell lodge through a deal with achica and on viewing the website were impressed by modern looking rooms but on check in were shown to a room that was like something from the seventies(rm37)this room was also quite noisy with the sound of an extraction fan vibrating through the room.luckily for us the heating was not working, inspite of the managers best efforts,so they moved us to another room(41) this was obviously one of the rooms used for the photographs on their website, recently refurbished, much bigger and better quality.the bathroom was big and airy with a shower powerful enough to knock you off your feet and plenty of hot water.
We didnt eat dinner in the restsurant but did have a couple of drinks in the comfortable lounge.
Breakfast on both mornings was delicious, hot and freshly cooked with very pleasant waitresses.
All in all a very pleasant, good value, weekend that was saved by the managers v.good customer focus.
