“JURYS INN EXETER”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 23 January 2012

As my son is studying at Exeter University I have stayed in this hotel on several occasions. It is only a short walk from the City centre which is great. The hotel is spotless and the staff efficient. I have only stayed on a board basis and never had the breakfast preferring to go into Exeter to eat. The hotel is brilliantly priced and I am going back again on 10th February 2012 for two nights in order to celebrate my son's 21st birthday. The only drawback is the hotel does not have its own parking, however there is parking opposite at a subsidised price together with council parking to the rear of the hotel.

Room Tip: I have never actually requested a particular room, but have never experienced any problems with the...

“Jury service”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 22 January 2012

Just spent two nights here over the weekend,it was by far the cheapest hotel we could find.
The hotel is in the city centre opposite the vue cinema and if your driving you have to park in the ncp across the road, get reception to stamp your ticket and when you pay at the machine and you get a discount.
The room we had was large with two double beds,it had tea and coffee, the bathroom had a shower in the bath but worked really well, all in all a really good quality middle range hotel.
The staff were friendly and helpful they asked if we had a car and where it was parked and also gave us a map of the centre which was great.

“can't fault it - excellent value for money”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 13 January 2012

Staff were very accommodating throughout my 24 hr stay: Early arrival meant I was given a quiet, clean & spacious disabled access room (which I was fine with, although I did not need it) In addition, my. 2:30 pm lunch, 3:00 am taxi, 2 guests for 10:30am breakfast and retrieval of book left in room after checkout were al dealt with in a helpful, professional & friendly way.

Hotel well situated for quick 5 to 10 min walk into city centre. Paid £43:00 for a night. Food was fine - plentiful breakfast and honest lunch menu. Decent coffee from bar. Would return.

Room Tip: Avoid communicating room, if you do not want to communicate with your neighbours. Disabled rooms hav...

“Excellent customer service”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 10 January 2012

As someone who regularly stays in Jurys Inns, I have to say that this property stands head and shoulders above the rest, with customer service being outstanding for this category of hotel. The property is relatively new, with a higher spec for fixtures and fittings throughout than I have found elsewhere in the chain. The bedrooms are of a reasonable size, with comfortable beds and plenty of pillows, towels, etc provided. The bathrooms are minimalist, but the fittings are of high quality (Grohe showers with 3 different settings: normal, rain and jet) and thoughtfully designed (the shower rail is semi-circular, allowing you to shower without touching the curtain) and Gilchrist & Soames soaps and shampoos are provided. The lighting in the bathroom is also user-friendly for the purposes of make-up, and a full-length mirror is provided in the bedroom. The hospitality tray featured a modern fast-boiling kettle, and a basic selection of instant coffee and tea, milk and biscuits, the supply of which was replenished daily, the television was a medium sized flatscreen model, on an adjustable base for ease of viewing and the hairdryer was a good quality brand, with 3 speeds, a long lead and a cool air setting. My only gripe is the lack of height in the wardrobe provided, meaning that the drop is not long enough to hang three quarter length dresses, but this is an issue in many hotels.
The self-service breakfast offered both hot (bacon, eggs, sausages, hash browns) and cold (choice of cereals, range of fruit, yoghurt, dried fruit, nuts and seeds) options with scones, rolls, and croissants on offer as well as toast, a variety of fruit juices and tea and coffee. Everything on offer looked fresh and was swiftly replenished as necessary. The restaurant menu offers a range of options with something to satisfy most palates, and the food is of reasonable quality, attractively plated and garnished, and served with a smile.
The customer service is uniformly excellent, from the managers to the bar staff. Nothing is too much trouble and all requests are dealt with swiftly and efficiently. I look forward to returning!

“My stay improved by good restaurant staff”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 29 December 2011

I've stayed in the Hotel 4 times now. Jurys provide a reasonable nights rest, with reasonable food at reasonable prices. In general the hotel is clean and runs well. The location is within easy walking distance of the city centre.
I would recommend the car park behind the hotel, far cheaper. The hotel restaurant is fine, but the staff make the sad case of lonely dining far more pleasurable, by being friendly and competent. Well done Marie.

Room Tip: Low numbers on each floor
