My wife took me here for my 50th birthday treat - stayed 2 nights and have to say probably the best in the West! Mount Batten room is immaculate with olde world charm - try the Tapps in the evening, all superb. Book the garage if you can as takes away hassle of traffic wardens and tickets. Hosts Charlie and Angus can be very proud of this lovely inn - thanks for such a warm welcome.

We stopped one night mid-week mid-Oct & found the old building was delightful. We had a warm & personal welcome. The facilities & breakfast were fist class. Freshly baked croissant! The big problem was with Dartmouth itself if you are trying to park a car near the centrte.

We went for a long weekend to a stunning town and stayed at a fantastic inn brilliantly located next to the lower ferry. The young hosts were very welcoming, friendly and helpful, we immediately knew we had made a good choice which was verified by the stunning 'Mountbatten' room! The old meets the modern; tastefully modernised, comfortable bed and all possible facilities available.
The breakfasts were marvellous, great choice available and like a previous reviewer I can say that the poached eggs were perfect!
There was some early morning disturbance but this is purely the sound of a beautiful town waking up for another day.
We were asked if we would recommend this B&B? Absolutely, 100% and would definitely stay there again

My husband and I saw an add in a magazine and decided to book a room. We absolutely loved the place and even added another night. Fabulous room, great service. Everyone was incredible helpful. Would definitely stay at the Bayards Cove Inn again.
