Hillfield Cottages are located just over a couple of miles from Dartmouth set amidst lovely countryside. There are about 29 cottages and apartments of all sizes and types so something for everyone. We stayed in Court Lodge which is one of the largest of the cottages on site. It offered luxurious accommodation with five star furnishings, fittings and equipment. There were five large bedrooms, four of which were en-suite plus an extra bathroom and another shower. It had two lounge areas, one up and one down and 4 TV's so geat for a large party! The house was very well suited for the three children in our party with a travel cot, high chair and stairgates being provided. On site there was an excellent tennis court which was really well used, very good children's playground and a field with football nets and lots of room for running about. The whole site and the cottages were very creatively designed and seemed to fit very well with the natural setting. The only negative point we found was the swimming pool and changing facilities which were dated and not up to the five star standard of the rest of the site. We were lucky with good weather but the pool, being unheated, was still very cold. We had a lovely hot tub at our cottage though which we loved. Everything is well kept, very clean and maintained to a high standard. We would highly recommend this cottage and Hillfield Cottages generally for its comfort, setting and suitability for all ages.

This place is fantastic. We stayed in a Court Cottage (No2) and it was simply lovely. New kitchen, freeview TV, broadband access, comfy beds and lots for our little girl to do within 2 mins ! I cannot praise this place enough as this is one of very few Uk holidays I have ever had and we were very impressed.
Excellent location to visit places like Dartmouth (Creperie there is fab), Salcombe (go to South Sands beach less crowded and have lunch or dinner at South Sands hotel), Paignton for the Zoo, the Tseam railway from Kingswear (lower ferry from Dartmouth). If they were selling the place we stayed in I would buy it - that's how lovely we thought it was. Well done to the owners and see you very very soon !

I stayed here with my wife and son in September and had a great week. The cottage we stayed in was superb and of a really high quality. There was a good play area for our son to run around in and we were made to feel really welcome by the owners.
I would definately go again and would recommend this to family and friends.

We have been to hillfield cottages every year for the past four years, a fabulous relaxing place for your holidays, our son and ourselves have truly enjoyed every holiday there, Caroline, Micheal and Edwina are so friendly and very helpfull, a magical place where you can return to year in year out and never get fed up with it and the surroundings, a central base to explore the South Hams, Dittisham and the Anchore Stone cafe fab spot to relax, dine and crab fish, Totnes lovely cafe's and to shop, Dartmouth lovely,sit outside the Floating Bridge and watch the world go by, Burgh Island nice beach for adults and children, The South Devon Railway Totnes to Buckfastleigh well worth a trip. can't wait to go back!!!!
