“Nice, wonderful place!”

We stayed at this hotel for a weekend holiday.
Considering our budget, we didn't expect too much of this hotel initially. But what we found is a very nice B&B hotel. I could say that, apart from they have no swimming pool, the facilities they offer are comparable to a 5 stars hotel!
Just to mention some of them, they provide full set of towel, welcome fruit (that is replaced at the second day), jug plus full set of drinks (tea, coffee, chocolate), tv+free view box, hairdryer, and even bathrobe. We also really love the good quality bedding.

The room is very clean, spacious and equipped with several wardrobes. Though not very close to the beach, our room is facing the beach, so its offer a nice view. The shower is nice with 3 options of water pressures.

We also impressed by the breakfast. They offer several types of breakfast, including vegetarian. The coffee is also another good thing from this hotel.

Another thing which make this place is so special is the warmth offer by Phil, Nicky and their 9 years old son. For example, Phil gave us a color print out of a map when we ask for some direction. Nicky was offer us some cutlery and sauce when she found out that we took some take-away food to be eaten in their dining room. John is a very friendly guy for us. He was very nice to chat with and even let my partner hugged his 40 year old Teddy bear (yes the teddy bear is much older than John, it has been passed through generations!)

Location wise, the accommodation is also great, though may be not very special considering that a lot of other accommodations around the area. It is about 8 minutes to the entrance of tintagel castle and about 8 minutes (to the other direction) to the entrance of bossiney cove.

We paid GBP 112 for two person for 2 nights which we consider is a great value.

Please be noted that they have very limited rooms, so it is very wise to book in advance whenever possible.

overall, we are very happy to stay there and look forward to stay there again in the future.

“Just like at home!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 1 April 2008

We were on the southwest coast path and we stayed here one night. It was just like being at home. A very nice welcome, perfect breakfast, top standard room (clean, very modern with all extras)
We paid 33 ppp. Absolutely value for money!

“Wonderful, Warm and Welcoming”

What a great place - if you are coming to Tintagel don't even think of staying anywhere else!!! Hosts Phil, Nicky and son John are the nicest people and you won't get better tretment than theirs anywhere. The B & B is small but beautifuly clean and comfortable and nothing is too much trouble for Phil and Nicky. I was traveling alone and Phil picked me up and dropped me off at the bus stop - even waiting an extra twenty minutes with me when the bus was late to make sure I was okey. Brooklets is just minutes from the bus stops and Tourist Centre, and there are many lovely walks to be walked around the area. I will definately be staying for my third visit next year. “Fantastic B&B”

We travelled to Tintagel from Hampshire and stayed for two nights Saturday and Sunday, as soon as I walked through the front door I knew I had chosen very well. Friendly, warm, spotlessly clean and Phil, Nicky and their son John were brilliant. The cooked breakfast could not be faulted and the homemade cake given to us on our arrival I thought was a very nice touch. The rooms were clean beautifully decorated and the ensuite shower room was just fantastic. I would recommend this Bed and Breakfast to anyone! I can't think of anything that could have made our stay any better. Well done Phil and Nicky!!

We were very pleasantly surprised by the warm and homely ambience at the Brooklets Cottage. The hospitality extended to us during our brief stay was excellent. The food was superb.

We would love to visit Tintagel - and Brooklets Cottage again and as often as possible.
