The Roundhouse Barn is a very plesant surprise and a real find. We stayed in the Minack which is a small double but beautifully appointed.Roundhouse offers cosiness quiet and a very friendly atmosphere with high quality personal service. The bedroom had a comfy bed, was very clean and nicely decorated. The minifridge with fresh milk and DVD player were a bonus. There iwas a good selection of DVD's in the room. The luxury shower room was spotless. The breakfasts we had here were cooked to order by Mark and the coffeewas the best I have ever had in any hotel. Barbara & Mark are wonderful hosts - knwledgably and friendly but not overwhelming. The other guests we met were very pleasant and extremely friendly, so 'communal' breakfast was most enjoyable. We will definitely return to the Roundhouse when we visit this part of Cornwall again and would like to book one of the self catering cottages one day soon. There is a pub within walking distance during the day - wouldn't walk at night - and also the most wonderful walk around the headland. Right next to King Harry ferry too - thanks for discounted tickets!

"I can only endorse what other reviewers have said.( You may not be able to walk to a pub, but you can walk to the nearby coast in 15 mins & to St. Just church in an hour.) This really is a top class B&B. We found the food at The Watch House very good."

"We stayed in 'The Fal' room. and everything about it was indeed 5 star. This bedroom is very well appointed with lots of thoughtful touches - right down to the 2 comfy chairs and silent fridge, containing complimentary water and juices. The en-suite bathroom is large with a wonderful shower. Breakfasts were a delight. We stayed in Cockle Cottage last summer and it was the best cottage we have ever stayed in, so we were confident of the welcome and attention to detail we would find during our stay this year. This area of Cornwall is well worth exploring."
""Faultless stay in a beautiful setting""

"We booked The Carthouse for two weeks. The cottage, Barbara and Mark fullfilled our every need. The cream tea was delicious as were the Cornish tea bags. The cottage was spotless and spacious, with everything we needed from untensils in the kitchen to dvds, guidebooks and maps. We had no problem staying 2 weeks, there was no cabin fever on the evenings we stayed in. We did have some tomatos and veg from the garden whch was lovely. We had a problem with the radiator in the bathroom but Barbara and Mark were fantastic in getting it sorted, providing clean, dry towels and even providing a bottle of wine as an apology (there really wasn't any need!) The cottage is in a great location to explore cornwall, the only draw back is the ferry crossing at £3 a crossing (with a discount ticket). The road route is a long way round to head to the west of Cornwall. We walked to St Mawes a couple of teas, which is about 1hr 20 walk but well worth it to escape the car and twisty, windy roads and explore! We enjoyed a very relaxing holiday and can recommend it for a peaceful, luxury stay."

"We stayed in the B&B last year and booked one of the SC barns for this year. We stayed in The Carthouse which we absolutely loved. Beautiful decor, spacious and every detail thought of - even games to play on those rainy days (yes, even in Cornwall in summer!). Our daughter stayed in the B&B again this year and is hoping we will be booking again for next year! We cannot fault Barbara and Mark in either the B&B or SC, they surely deserve all the accolades and awards - they have got the recipe right and it would be hard to improve upon. Thanks again for another remarkable stay."

"We stayed in the Dairy cottage and it was wonderful in so many ways. A great welcome from the owners and after a long drive it is great to walk into such a superbly equipped cottage. It was spotlessly clean and furnished to a very high standard with lots of those little extra touches that mean so much. It is very relaxing and a great base to visit so many of the beautiful areas of Cornwall. We were also spoiled by the variety of lovely pubs for our evening meal, many recommended by Mark and Barbara (the owners). If you love quality coupled with peace and relaxation, this is for you."
""Great Bed and Breakfast close to St Mawes""

"Stayed here in July 2011 for a friend's wedding near St Mawes. It was a lovely place to stay. There was a bit of confusion around our reservation, as we had booked two rooms but only one room was available- however the owners more than made up for this with their helpfullness and accomadation. The beds were so so comfortable and the shower was very nice with good water pressure and white company toiletries. The breakfast was delicious with a huge variety of fruits, cereal, and hot cooked breakfast. I would definitely come back to stay here and St Mawes is a beautiful and serene place to visit. While you are there definitely book a table at the newly opened Watchhouse!!! :)"
